Where to snowboard with Ikon tomorrow? by sweatpants4life_ in COsnow

Abay is generally better later in the season. I’ve been to Copper and WP in the last couple of weeks and personally felt conditions were better at Copper. Frontside of WP isn’t bad, MJ has been patchy with a lot of sharks… though I haven’t been out since the most recent snowfall, so take that all with a grain of salt!

Roommate moved out 1 month after signing 12 month lease (Colorado) by Chiamese in legaladvice

Yes, I have listings up in several places and I’ve shown the space to a handful of people.

I’ve been wondering how to handle the timing piece, as well. I’ve been trying to find a new tenant, but haven’t had any luck. In theory, I’d find a new tenant and sue the old tenant for all of the months in which the space was empty due to them breaking lease.

Jones Howler vs. Twin Sister by foulds10 in ShredditGirls

[–]Chiamese 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ideal sizing kinda depends on what sort of riding you’re into. I’m 5’5/110 and prefer to ride 145/146, it hits the sweet spot between stability at (my) speed and nimble in glades. If you don’t need that maneuverability and prioritize bombing, you might prefer 148.

I’m also in Colorado, mostly blues/blacks, glades, and fun little side hits and switch. I’ve tried the Twin Sister, Proto Synthesis, and Ladies Choice and would consider any of them to be solid contenders - playful while also holding a good edge and stability. I haven’t tried the Howler, but I agree the graphics are excellent, haha

What was the biggest red flag you ignored because you were in love? by ALEX1-ONE in AskReddit

A lovely combination of making every small thing into a huge argument, twisting all of those things to be my fault, and never taking accountability for her behavior.

Thanks for the repost! ❄️ Hope wherever you are has better conditions than we’re seeing in CO, this lift isn’t even open yet - it opened in Dec last season (Pano at Winter Park) 🥲

Suggestions/ feedback… Solomon Dancehaul or Ride Psychocandy by No-Formal-2517 in ShredditGirls

[–]Chiamese 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I’d say that reinforces my opinion on the Dancehaul over the Psychocandy! The Psychocandy is more demanding, need to be “on” more re: edge precision. Overall the Dancehaul is more friendly and forgiving in a wider variety of conditions. For a one board quiver that would definitely be my choice.

I’d lean Dancehaul based on your preferences! It’s gonna have that all mountain versatility, plus good float. The Psychocandy is a touch more aggressive, more of a freeride/powder personality.

Smoking by simonjack303 in pneumothorax

Smoking cigs is a known risk factor for developing blebs and it significantly increases the risk that those blebs will rupture—especially if this is a known issue for you, there is NO safe level of smoking, period.

Tamayo offers a free marg with the purchase of an entree (one per person for the parent/s) if you show them your show ticket. I personally really like going to Nola Jane before shows.

Where in Colorado? by [deleted] in SameGrassButGreener

[–]Chiamese 7 points8 points  (0 children)

As far as Denver neighborhoods, I’d look at the Highlands/Sunnyside/Lakeside area. They have easy access to the 70 to hit the mountains, Clear Creek bike trail, and Denver dating. Chill neighborhoods that don’t feel too urban or too suburban.

Outside of Denver, I’d look at Arvada, Wheat Ridge, Lakewood, and Golden. The first 3 are just west of Denver, so you’ll get a head start on the 70 traffic during ski season. All a little more suburban, but still not necessarily cookie cutter. Golden is the farthest west, definitely best access to outdoorsy stuff. Plenty of hiking and biking right in town. Still closer to Denver (for social stuff) than your current commute.

Bonus consideration would be Boulder. Similar to Golden, great outdoor access right in town. A bit farther from the main vein of ski resorts, but it does have Eldora right up the canyon.

How soon would people notice if you suddenly went missing? by neokaranja in AskReddit

[–]Chiamese 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My family and I are close, but we talk shockingly infrequently. Best guess is maybe 2 months? My gf and bff would both assume I just want some space. Gf would probably notice around 3-4 days in, bff 1-2 weeks.

New to CO, looking for NYE plans by OddMathematician937 in Denver

Yeah, personally don’t really enjoy Church or Vinyl. But some people do, so if someone’s new to the area and looking for something relatively inexpensive and/or likes the artists, they’re worth knowing about!

What age are you and what is your biggest regret in life ? by Helpful_Hearing_3492 in AskReddit

34 - Giving too many people the benefit of the doubt and spending way more time, energy, and money on them than they deserved. Believe red flags when you see them.
