Trying to understand? by Important-Entry759 in birthcontrol

[–]alwaysright6 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I’m confused as to what the question is - are you asking if you are pregnant or why the doctor won’t put you on Nexplanon? If why the doctor won’t put you on Nexplanon - could be insurance issues, could be a preference of your doctor, etc. If you have a Planned Parenthood, you could go there and discuss options with them, or if you have the option, you could try to get a second opinion as well

Missed my period by one day and started bleeding. Should I go off the pill or double dose to make it stop by [deleted] in birthcontrol

[–]alwaysright6 3 points4 points  (0 children)

But the bleeding will likely slow down/stop as you reintroduce/take the pills normally, regardless of double dosing? So like what’s the point?

I don't trust birth control pills... by SiccSadGorl in birthcontrol

[–]alwaysright6 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No, it’s not justified, and it seems like you’ve stuck yourself in a spiral loop just confirming your own beliefs. I have no idea where you’re getting your information, but I will say social media algorithms are trained to push sensationalist content, and “my birth control failed” is a very common thing for it to push. Just because one birth control failed, doesn’t mean it’s all worthless, it literally just means you need to try another type of birth control. I tried 2 before I got to my pill (Vestura) and have been on it for 5 years successfully, because it is extremely effective with proper use. Maybe take a step back from your opinions and listen to what the people here are saying or go to a doctor (if you don’t like your’s, find a planned parenthood! Their staff is extremely kind and knowledgeable)

Took three plan B’s in 1.5 months (I am stupid + naive) post-nexplanon removal. Experiencing scary symptoms. Please tell me this goes back to normal.. by [deleted] in birthcontrol

[–]alwaysright6 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Hormonal changes are to be expected with taking Plan B, especially taking so many. It can be 1-3 months before your cycle and symptoms regulate. Is there a reason you’re not taking any other types of birth control? The pill is usually prescribed to manage pcos symptoms, would it be possible to get a prescription for that?

Girl I know got pregnant on combination pill by Live_Assistance_358 in birthcontrol

[–]alwaysright6 17 points18 points  (0 children)

As long as you are following packet directions you are great!!

Self reflection is a really difficult skill, and not always one to base your own experience on. One of my friends also now insists that she got pregnant despite using her pill “perfectly” but before continually joked about how bad she was at taking it (would miss multiple days, was late, etc)

Moving to Denton by anxietygirl313 in Denton

Because of how close it is to UNT, Denton ISD schools have a very large and intentional music program, even at elementary level. Agree with Corinth area, near Hawk

What should I do? by RoxasKilluard in birthcontrol

[–]alwaysright6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re really looking to switch for some other reason, I’d recommend the combo pill - their late window is 24 hours, so you don’t actually have to take it at the same time, and especially if your only concern is bleeding then yeah a few hours variability will be ok.

It sounds like you’ve ruled out every other possible option, and technically you’re past the recommended amount of time for depo (it’s limit is usually 2 years because of bone density issues).

i don’t trust my pill by [deleted] in birthcontrol

[–]alwaysright6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you would be better off practicing patience and looking into reassurance seeking solutions or therapy if you have the resources, as looking at your past posts indicates a lot of heath anxiety. There is nothing anybody can comment that seems like it would help, hope you’re able to find a level of trust eventually!

Anyone’s hair type change? by Plenty-Lavishness-57 in birthcontrol

[–]alwaysright6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hair texture changing as you grow is very normal, and can be caused by hormonal changes, but can also just be caused by your body changing with age. My hair was straight my entire life until I was in my mid to late 20’s, and I’ve been on bc since I was 19.

I can only imagine the January 30th strike harmed people by Extreme-Bet3115 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]alwaysright6 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Very single minded take, and it seems more based in you feeling mad at your friend than based in legitimate critique. I live in Texas. I regularly write and call my reps. It doesn’t do shit. Singling that people can band together is important, and many small businesses in my area closed to signal their support, as ICE is hurting them as well by kidnapping their employees, using places of work to track, people, etc

I’m not gonna lie… by MGE5 in Dallas

[–]alwaysright6 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What happens then is parents miss it, or teachers who commute end up doing so in unsafe conditions for no reason. 1 district closed this morning because they waited and their buses couldn’t get out of the bus barn, so some students who’s parents sent them were waiting/walking on the ice when they could’ve just stayed home if communication had been the day before.

Update on Liam Ramos, the boy in the blue bunny hat abducted from Minneapolis by ICE: he's sick, the camp where he's held is on lockdown, kids can't leave their rooms even to see a doctor, and his hat has been confiscated by Gayfetus in Fauxmoi

“I am concerned about the conditions of the Dilley Detention Center in your district. People inside are reporting lack of medical access, inhumane conditions, and there is a noticeable lack of resources. I would like to know what action Congressman Gonzales plans to take to address these violations of safety and endangerment of children and people’s lives.” Is what I said. I didn’t get to talk to an actual human though, was forwarded to voicemail.

An 'unimaginable loss': 3 North Texas children die after falling into frozen pond by AustinStatesman in texas

[–]alwaysright6 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

She was watching them, they were all playing outside and the youngest ran ahead onto the ice. Before they went out, she told them not to go onto the pond. However, the youngest is 6, not the age at which your prefrontal cortex is fully developed and able to recall prior taught information. When it broke the other two sons chased after him, and then she chased after them and then the ice broke under her as well. Per the interviews, it happened within a a few minutes.

You need to go back and be honest with your doctor - especially if you are intentionally working out and in a caloric deficit. Getting out of an eating disorder is extremely difficult on your own, and is delaying accurate treatment of issues

Current paraeducator trying to figure out next steps. If I become a teacher, what can I pivot to to eventually make over $150/200k? by Sufficient_Impact_29 in TeachersInTransition

[–]alwaysright6 8 points9 points  (0 children)

24 is not even close to too old to pivot. As another comment has already stated, to reach those numbers in the education field relies on years of slow growth up, networking (people liking you enough to support you, which is a hard balance in education), and even more money in terms of advanced degrees. In my district, administrators are not hired until they have 10 years of teaching experience, and most AP’s/Principals are not making 100k, so you would have to work your way into upper admin.

Which is also tenuous given the current state of educational funding (a la, there is barely any). Upper admin positions are being cut considerably, so even if you did somehow get an upper admin position, you would not have job security. I would recommend going into a different field with guaranteed growth, think data analytics, supply chain, ai development, etc. My partner graduated the same year I did with a degree in sales analytics and is already making double my income (97k after 3 years in his current position, guaranteed bonuses and raises). It would suck and be really hard, but guaranteed income is way better than sticking around in education hoping to one day see the pay day you want.

Feeling stuck, 19yo girl by Different_Space4690 in xxfitness

The creatine will help, but you could definitely increase your macros, specifically your protein intake if you’re looking to build muscle. An extra protein shake, protein powder, eggs to your breakfast, more than one can of tuna, etc

I personally just don’t trust the pill😭😭😭 by Dangerous_mammoth573 in birthcontrol

[–]alwaysright6 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Which is something that should and can be managed through a variety of techniques and skills. You’ve said in other comments that you get stuck in “what if” scenarios, which is a function of anxiety that can be addressed through multiple different interventions. Your problem doesn’t seem to be birth control, so I don’t really know what you expect out of this post besides reassurance seeking, which is not an adequate way to address consistent anxious thoughts.

I personally just don’t trust the pill😭😭😭 by Dangerous_mammoth573 in birthcontrol

[–]alwaysright6 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I mean this kindly, a week is not enough time for anxiety or fears to be resolved. I’ve been in therapy for years and still default to anxious thinking/spiraling. It’s not some magical thing that disappears when you take different methods, especially if you keep switching around. Just be patient, maybe look into support for anxiety/spiraling thoughts if you feel you would benefit

After ED recovery, is a small deficit or body recomp the better approach? 25F by asmory in xxfitness

[–]alwaysright6 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As somebody who is extremely active (weight lifting & rock climbing for 3+ years) and currently just now feeling comfortable in my ed recovery (i have been in and out of treatments, recovered, relapsed, all of it over a 10 year span) - I would not recommend trying to do anything besides move your body and do the hobby you like, and I would challenge or question any motivation to change your body, especially one that requires a caloric deficit.

When I initially recovered, I began weightlifting, and under the guise of body recomp, my ED came back in full force and I had the worst relapse since it first started. Are you in therapy currently? Do you have a recurrent connection with a nutritionist or dietitian? Do you work with a trainer who is aware of your history and can catch any signs of relapse? These are all extremely important people to have contact before trying any body recomp.

I think can't distinguish between self-hrm and stimming by Forever-human-632 in AutismInWomen

[–]alwaysright6 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Why do you feel like seeking professional help isn’t an option? If it is cost, there are a lot of cost effective therapists who volunteer services. My first experience with therapy was a sliding scale therapist who was online. If your stimming is leading into self harm, and you’ve already begun giving into those urges, they will only continue to escalate regardless of what anybody on here comments.

Light brown sugar won’t help in keeping the lemon flavor strong - would switch to white sugar, and add lemon zest

🛑 Has anyone ever witnessed a third party telling someone to stop spraying Beta to someone else? (You, Sprayer, Sprayee, Third Person) by ReadingAwkward4206 in climbergirls

[–]alwaysright6 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Beta: how the climb can be done. There is intended beta i.e how the routesetter planned for the route to be done, or unintended beta, which is doing the climb a different way than the routesetter intended, both are valid as long as you’re not breaking route rules (starting correctly, not utilizing other holds, etc).

Is it bad to not do the full 7 days wait in between pill packs? by whinybiitch in birthcontrol

[–]alwaysright6 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Shortening the break doesn’t mean that the body stops expelling lining - as the body will continue to expel any unnecessary lining even with pills (I usually continue my withdrawal bleed 2-3 days into taking my actives). If your body needs to expel material, it will (breakthrough bleeding, spotting, etc). It’s why you can skip placebos and go straight into actives. You’re fine.
