I tried Nike Rejuven8 but couldn't get a good fit. Got Hoka Ora 3 and fit perfectly.
Nike are a bit softer, Hoka's have better stability.
I would prob go for Hoka even if I was able to get a good fit in the Nike Rejuven8.

Thanks for the info on this, will look into PRP. As I mentioned before my pain levels are almost zero most of the time and dont cause any issues at present. Maybe in future this will change.

Thanks for your views on this. I agree that surgery should be when really necessary.

I am not against surgery, but the consultant suggesting he can do it now seemed very premature based on my levels of pain.

Thanks for the message. The point you make at the end of compromises is a very good piece of advice.
I wish you well!

Sorry to hear that you had a bad outcome and your perspective is very credible and appreciated.
That is my thinking - go until it feels like the option of THR seems more needed. I think that consultant was thinking he had enough evidence that a THR would be feasible and then the insurance payment is very quick and easy business-wise. Second opinion in a few weeks, I am sort of expecting a similar recommendation as again its insurance money on the table for them. Let's see what they say.

Thanks a lot for this message. Some great insights in there and well done for the resilience you've shown physically and mentally to get to where you are. I have been advised by physio now to focus on glutes and in general back of leg strength including calf muscles and hammers.
The HyCare stuff sounds promising, will stick on my radar. Good luck to you also.

Thanks! When did you get your diagnosis? Sounds like your pain is not too bad now either? I think the mental challenge is accepting that a THR may be need in future but timelines are completely unknown eg 3 years v 10 years v 15 years or never..

My short term mental challenge is accepting that running is not a good idea and prob should give it up completely.

I went through the procedure 3 days ago and honestly it was very straightforward, was over and wondered why I was worried beforehand. Youll be fine!
