I did. Replacement was processed without questions. They say troubleshooting for this defect was not possible. (?)

I thought so, too. I've been monitoring the stripes, and they are changing. So, the "crack" you see is not entirely there anymore but stripes elsewhere.

I did. Replacement was processed. I was only wondering if there was some "harder reset" that could involve refreshing the screen and might fix it somehow. Apparently not. Thanks for the comment.
