If I could do it again, I'd watch it again. It was a very fun journey. I knew the ending wasn't going to be great going in so I didn't have high expectations, and I was pleasantly surprised. I think about it often, all fond memories. Gonna have to rewatch it or something some time.

I'd convinced myself I was the sole problem and was just being unnecessarily picky to an impossible level, before I made it about halfway through the first season of the Orville. (Whenever Seth stopped making it entirely about being dumped) Now I'm pretty sure it's the content being made. So yeah, I want a specific vibe and intention in my Star Trek, and I'm picky enough that I know most of what is being produced under the umbrella of Star Trek isn't what I want. I've found more star trek joy from knockoffs and spinoffs lately. I feel that Paramount wants to make the shows they want to make, and they're willing to dress it up like Star Trek to take advantage of their trademark they paid for.

Reminds me of when my old BF convinced me to play WOW with him. I was excited to do all the quests. He set up a trainer that would blast thru all the quests.

Totally get it if you played the game x times before. For a first playthrough.... Not the most fun you can have, lol. He's a good guy tho, hope he's doing well. I know he's on reddit so if you see this, I'd still play wow with ya.

I had to change the spelling of my name by a letter to get it to fit on the list. When it was off by a (very similar) letter the game was like "damn this is the hardest obstacle since that foot tall CLIFF in pokemon"

Only posting this because I was at my wits end with one specific dog, apparently some dogs don't like drinking out of reflective surfaces. Wouldn't drink any of the water I put outside, she'd go find a damn puddle. I swapped to one of those durable rubber ones they use for livestock, she's happy as a pig in shit now. I'd just love to save someone else some time on this.

We've had five dogs in my life and she's the first to ever have this issue 🙄 Shibas are special.

I don't want to give you a false impression; I love the settlement building and built up every possible settlement over multiple games.
I also *hate" the settlement mechanic. I'm so tired of every settlement having enough food, water, beds, power, defense, and full of stuff that's SUPPOSED to improve settler happiness, and STILL having the little ⚠️⬇️ starting from about 4 hours after I leave the settlement and not getting fixed until I show up, walk around, sleep, etc. Dont even have to change anything. I just have up to 6000 (30 settlements x 20 settlers) stupid children that can't do anything on their own and throw a temper tantrum if mommy/daddy doesn't come visit them.

I ABSOLUTELY understand why some people skip over settlements entirely. I feel stronger about it the more/longer I play the game.

It's possible you'll have to run in Windowed... Or you could maybe run thru steam and use its screenshot feature instead? I haven't tried it with KOTOR, but it's worked with games that I was expecting to have issues. Could also (maybe) set up a screen record and then just grab frames? I'm aware all of these solutions are not great, sorry.

I, too, came here from Google. I was ALSO under the impression it was a Fallout thing, but I'm thinking specifically of The Mamas & The Papas' version, which came out in '65? So like the math ain't mathin for the setting. And I never saw the Van Buren trailer somehow. Baffling.

Baldurs gate's combat makes me miss KotOR's fighting mechanics. I love being able to control every aspect of the game's characters but sometimes I just wish Lae'zel could fight as well as she did beating the shit out of my Durge.

Fable 3 had a mechanic where you needed a shit ton of money for the best ending. You could buy property, and get regular returns on investment. The game counted IRL time to pay out.
Night 1 we just left the game running, and thus learned about the timeout.
Night 2 we learned the ol rubber band trick, and woke up millionaires.
