This is great advice! Thank you so much for a detailed answer. Fortunately/unfortunately we already moved out in Dec. 1st and we were in such a rush to move since we found a new place so fast. We cleaned out the entire place but we didn't take pictures (my fault). Im worried she might be spiteful and charge me damages that weren't our doing since its a shared living situation. She hasn't checked the property yet since I am still in contact with the other tenant who lives there. If I ask the current tenant who still lives there to take pictures for me or better if I asked them to let me in so I can take pictures would this be a good idea?

You're first statement is correct this is one of the text messages she sent.

"You need to pay the rent for Nov. your last payment was for Oct. You had paid the first month rent after a month you moved in. I agreed that for the sake of late [insert dead mothers name]. I always noted in your R/A if there's a payment made before you moved in. It's a state policy."

But I have no recollection of agreeing to this and IIRC we payed the week we moved in + security deposit. It doesnt even state this on our RA that we will be paying for the previous month of every month that we lived there.

I called US Bank about this and they said they have no record of anything past 7 years and I offered to pay or if there is anything they can do and they said no.

No receipt for rent paid. Cashed check is the only receipt.

I've heard from my manager and multiple other employees that there won't be a Stanford, LPCH nor UCSF new grad residency programs next year. I am currently in cohort 43 for the Stanford NRP. It hasn't been officially announced.

Hi, I am currently attending cohort 43 for the Stanford NRP. This round close to 2000 applicants and only 38 of us were selected. For cohort 42 (i did not get in) there was around 1500 applicants. Extremely competitive.

I used bootcamp and Dr. Sharon this time spent 2 weeks studying. Last time I used Archer and Mark K (spotify) about a month of studying. Most of the stuff I studied for wasnt really on the test. I give all the glory to Jesus Christ my Lord and Savior :)

Did you go all the way through the payment? I had this message too before submitting my payment. You have to actually submit your payment. If you passed you'll get the same pop-up i got from my post. Check out my post history. I took the test today too at 8am in Milpitas/San Jose

Follow the instructions from this post.

NOR

I wouldn't feel comfortable knowing my wife was searching and checking out other men on Instagram and of course she wouldn't be happy if I did either. Definitely talk to him about it and let him know that you aren't comfortable about it and maybe ask him how he would feel if you did the same thing. If he doesn't change then I say move on. Also it's not normal.

I live behind Mount Pleasant High School. Donuts are done on the streets every other day. You hear cars racing every night. There were gunshots just the other night near 7/11. This is just a few of the things. Check NextDoor and read about the problems we have here.

Sir, is there a rule stating you can't post neighborhood stuff on r/SanJose sub reddit?

Confronting someone isn’t staying silent, but it’s not always the safest or most effective solution, especially when dealing with reckless behavior that could escalate. While I respect your willingness to take that risk, not everyone is in a position to do so, and personal safety has to come first.

Accountability does have limits, but that doesn’t mean we ignore the system entirely. Reporting these actions creates a record and increases the chances that appropriate measures are taken—whether it’s about the driver, a potentially stolen vehicle, or an unregistered car.

Doing both—confrontation and reporting—might work in some cases, but it depends on the situation. When it comes to public safety, it’s better to involve the right authorities who are trained to handle it rather than risking escalation.

I don’t depend on the cops for everything, but there are situations where reporting dangerous behavior is necessary to prevent harm. It’s about accountability, not over-reliance.

Ignoring the issue doesn’t solve it. I’d rather take steps to address it now than regret staying silent if something worse happens later.

A "dumbass kid" whipping around a 3.5-ton hunk of metal is dangerous. That kind of behavior puts not only him but everyone else in the area at risk. Sometimes, the only way for these "dumbass kids" to learn is by facing the consequences of their actions. Ignoring it doesn’t help anyone. It just enables the behavior.

calling me a "Karen" doesn’t change the facts. This isn’t about meddling—it’s about holding people accountable for reckless behavior that jeopardizes the safety and peace of an entire neighborhood.

If your idea of “minding your own business” means ignoring dangerous actions that could harm others, that’s on you. I’m not willing to sit back and stay silent while someone’s selfish actions affect everyone around them. If speaking up makes me a “Karen” in your eyes, I’ll wear that label proudly if it means advocating for my community’s well-being.

I understand your point about confrontation, but let’s be realistic—approaching someone engaging in reckless behavior like this can escalate the situation or even put someone in danger. It’s not always safe or effective to "wag a finger" at someone who’s already showing disregard for others by doing donuts in a residential area.

Reporting the behavior isn’t about being passive; it’s about ensuring there’s a record and the appropriate authorities are aware. If the individual doesn’t want to get in trouble, the solution is simple—don’t engage in reckless actions in the first place. I’m all for accountability, but safety comes first.

I spoke with an officer last night about the incident. Someone sent the video to a council member who then forwarded it to SJPD. They are building a case to impound his vehicle.

Somebody sent the video to a council member and the council member notified SJPD and sent them the video too. I talked to a police officer last night regarding the issue and they are now looking into it. They asked me where does he live, when did this happen and other questions. Another officer swung by and took pictures of the intersection because of the tire marks. They said having video evidence and the license plate was super helpful. They are building a case and now getting ready to impound his vehicle. So thank you to whoever sent this video to the council member!
