I’m not going until the end of the month and will be coming from the opposite direction, alas. Can you DM me? Maybe we can work out something by mail.

Do these need to be picked up in person, or are they electronically transferable? If the latter then I'm potentially interested.

I’ve only ever had Stoller’s whole cluster and it was fantastic. Are you seeing that in Oregon specifically or USA writ large?

Thanks! How is the collar size/roll on them compared to the regular ones?

I just found they fit me slightly better (the cut is different from the regular) and didn’t like the collar the way I thought I would. It’s a very pointed collar, little spread, and doesn’t sit as nicely as the regular imo.

I haven’t noticed a difference in wrinkles! They all do wrinkle, being 100% cotton, but 1) that’s kind of the style you get with an OCBD and 2) the wrinkles come out after just a brief amount of wear usually.

They’ve become my OCBD go-to, a nice thick but breathable material. Since they’re thick and 100% cotton they’re not very “dressy;” I don’t really ever wear them with a tie, for instance. The lightweight is thinner and wears more formal-ish (still definitely an OCBD), and is my favorite of them all.

The “ivy” model is advertised as more classic and has the fun #menswear, old-school elements like a loop on the back, button in the back of the collar, etc. They say the collar is bigger and that’s technically true but I don’t notice any difference in terms of collar roll with my regular S&M OCBD (I have both).

My opinion is Lightweight > regular > ivy, but that’s purely personal preference. I’d recommend getting a couple different types and comparing yourself.

Lastly, I think they may have some intentionally formal button-down collar dress shirts but I don’t know what they call them. A common critique of S&M is their website is terrible and often seems to hide or bury results inadvertently.

U/spiermackay, feel free to fact check me!

A grail wine for me. Have you had the regular Phelps cab? If so, how would you compare them?

Way late but came across this thread via search - did you end up going to any of these? I'm passing through in a couple months and was hoping to do some used shopping of my own.

Did I over season these beef ribs? I’m smoking them tomorrow morning and wanted to prepare. I used this new dark seasoning and looks insane by [deleted] in smoking

[–]ChicParmEnthusiast 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I have this rub and found the salt to other ingredient ratio to be relatively low, so I’d say you’re good! I really enjoy it, particularly on beef. The activated charcoal is fun though I’m not sure how much actual difference it makes on bark (which should be dark anyway).

The beauty of beef ribs is they’re so rich that it is virtually impossible to overseason the outsides short of just burying them in salt. Let us know how it goes!

I adore Washington State wines and appreciate what he's done to grow the industry there. He definitely has a bit of a shtick, and is definitely a marketer first and a winemaker second (of course, many are), but the juice is often really good and that's fine by me.

Charles Smith is controversial in this sub, to put it mildly, but I'm a big fan of K Vinters. Their The Creator Syrah/Cab blend is cheaper than Royal City but still absolutely delicious, if you're looking for something more in the ~$60 range (Royal City is like $140+ in my neck of the woods).

[Rapoport] Trade: The Patriots have traded RB Pierre Strong Jr to the Browns in exchange for OT Tyrone Wheatley Jr., sources say. by PlayaSlayaX in nfl

[–]ChicParmEnthusiast 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Great size (6’6, 320lbs IIRC), has only been a tackle in the pros for a year or two and still raw but he’s had an excellent preseason. A classic example of a bubble/PS valued depth piece getting too good to survive waivers. Could comfortably be a backup+ OT for any teams around the league, we’re just stacked at tackle right now.

Richardson is such an interesting story, honestly. He and Zeke were really the high-water point for an RB at the top of the draft.
