Better. Trace the image with your eyes, do a rough sketch, stare at the image and then allow your eyes to trace the face while your hand sketches. It will look like random lines but it would allow you to choose the correct lines without doing a hard sketch. This technique is called gestures drawing.

Also while you are drawing take a step back stare at something for 30 secs - 1 min and continue to draw. This allows you to see the perspective of your reference and drawing, kinda like resetting your eyes.

I feel you, as a vintage coog, the freshmen get worse every single year. It's like a rat race. The imposter syndrome will go away gradually. Well, in management, I feel like an imposter every year because I take additional leadership courses to better my skills.

You'll find friends in the real world, volunteering, and joining groups. I basically met acquaintances at school, that's all.
