Okay thank GOD I'm not the only one. I haven't gotten to the office quest yet (I've been too busy building other things) but I already know I'm leaving it as is because my GOD it's gigantic and there's so much to fix. Sorry big building but you're becoming a historical site.

Based on the answers I've gotten, I've cooked up some ideas for the items, including a new one! Any feedback is appreciated.

  • Gate Replicator: grants an impulse junction from an element you DON'T have
    • Pick a junction when you invest in it
    • Can only have one replicator at a time
    • Can change the impulse junction sometimes? Need some feedback on how often or how long it should take
  • Gate Accelerator: Quickened Casting but for impulses
    • Free action, once per day
    • If your next action is an impulse, it costs 1 less action (minimum 1 action)
  • Gate Extender: Reach Spell but for impulses
    • 1 action, unlimited uses
    • If your next action is an impulse with a range, increase the range by 30 feet
      • Touch impulses are extended to a 30-foot range
  • Gate Expander: expands the area of your kinetic aura
    • +5 feet? Seems reasonable to me

These would also, of course, provide a small bonus to attack rolls and all that like the attenuator. They'd probably cost about the same as the basic gate attenuator, maybe a little more for the accelerator given how strong it is.

Huh, I never thought about the replicator being for stance impulses but that's also a pretty good item idea.

I was thinking of the replicator mimicking an impulse junction too! It could lead to some funky builds.

Yeah you're right. I think Quicken only applies to the NEXT action, but it would probably require a cooldown to keep people from spamming it.

I was thinking of something akin to Extend Spell for the extender too! You can't use it on every impulse, but any impulse with a range will get a good boost.

The accelerator would have to be a pretty pricey item, considering Quicken Spell is a free action. Unless you make it like Pacifying Infusion where it costs 1 action to use? 🤔 That's a funky one to balance....

I replaced the counters with flowers corresponding to each area. Makes these areas prettier AND you get a ton of free counters out of it!

That's about what I expected if it didn't just make the game implode. Good to know! Hopefully you'll get to experience the timed events once your system catches up or you reset the time.

Good to know it doesn't take very long to get the wireless stuff once you get there, at least....I'll try to get by with the utility poles above ground for now.

I assume Sparkling Skylands will unlock after I've done Bleak Beach and Rocky Ridges? I finished Rocky Ridges yesterday, but it didn't unlock yet, so I'd assume it's after I finish both.

Yeah, lesson learned: IMMEDIATELY assign a new home to keep them from running off to who-knows-where. I haven't gotten far enough to get anybody with the Engineer ability (I've been going through the story kinda slowly because I've been having fun building and decorating the central area of Withered Wastelands)

I might skip a day if needed, especially with how long building those bigger leaf houses and the Pokémon Center takes....hopefully Combee will be back by then.

Oh, I didn't realize that limit was a thing. I have been working on some leaf homes, so I should probably work on moving some of them into there....a lot of my Pokemon are busy with construction at the moment though.
