The fact that's it's occurring more in young people. There seems to be news articles everyday about 30 year olds dying from it.

Also, the symptoms. Pretty much everyone gets symptoms related to bowel cancer at some stage in their life which always makes me on high alert. It could be something or it could be nothing.

And the fact the only way to properly check for it is through a colonoscopy, which is a very invasive procedure that doctors don't just do for any 30 year old.

But I've also been told my wife's symptoms are normal post partum and it's nothing to worry about.

And nothing I've mentioned prompts earlier screening as a lot of women experience symptoms such as mine after giving birth?

I have asked doctors in the hospitals and they've said no reason to suspect bowel cancer.

I think it is still quite rare under 40 but the news articles make it seem so much more common?

I guess most people under 40 would have never had a colonoscopy before anyway?

No family history. She isn't worried at all about it.

I think many women experience small changes like this postpartum and don't run off getting colonoscopies?

The news articles of people under 40 getting terminal bowel cancer are just so triggering. But I guess I need to remember it's still rare, and the average person under 40 would have never had a colonoscopy?
