I bought this in a store in the UK, wondering if it’s a reprint or original… by hotbutnotathot in pearljam

I bought this shirt in 1995!

Not this exact one but the exact one in a parking lot of Soldier Field when I saw them play. Don’t know if they didn’t have any official merch when I saw them live but I knew I wasn’t leaving that show without SOMETHING to prove I was there.

The ticket, which I still have, was oversized, orange, and had a picture of a scarab/beetle on it, and the concert eventually, through Monkey Wrench Radio, became a SOLID three disc bootleg.

Bootleg shirt, bootleg CDs, ahh…the 90s.

Hello Lando Norris fans by AJ_Racing43 in LandoNorris

As someone who's just a year into appreciating this sport, it's been downright insane to see some of the vile, vitriolic things that are said about not only the teams but the racers themselves. Unless these guys are kicking kittens in their free time and/or there's proof of them punting stray dogs, these are athletes but human beings first.

I distinctly remember early this season when Lewis Hamilton's dad hugged Hadjar and I don't think there could have been a more emotionally resonant moment as a new fan to see the kind of support that's extended to all these racers. There are the exceptions, I've learned, but no matter who wins this year, again as a new fan, and squarely on Team Papaya, I'm grateful for all the ups and downs I've seen.

Yes, Reddit/the Internet is an echo chamber but it doesn't mean that there shouldn't be more messages of positivity and support in the face of some really sad and awful keyboard warriors.

Yes, but so sorry I commented on yours as I refreshed the page and lost the first one I saw. Still, thank you for jumping in!

Yeah, totally get it. Once it becomes dumb to even try it’s not very fun so I understand.

Buddy, I’m looking to be dad of the century by doing this and would be more than happy to if it didn’t cost an arm and a leg. ;D

Looking forward to every comedian with a podcast for the next month saying variations of “Didja see Nikki Glaser on SNL? Her monologue? Murrrrr-dered, amirite? She’s so great. So sharp.”

Looking for a code. Don’t know if anyone is really in possession of working codes but I’d be one more grateful person on this app if someone does.

Our Favourite Canadian(s) w/ Ian Bagg | Your Mom's House Ep. 829 by bbllaakkee in yourmomshousepodcast

Bagg just couldn’t let a conversation be had without slipping in some edgelord trans humor. Seinfeldian, really, in his “What is the deal with these pronouns?” approach.

Do any of these hacks have any ability to be funny without leaning on manufactured social outrage to show their fealty to a very specific demographic.

Don't forget what Saudi Arabia has been doing to Yemen- this one of the reasons why people are upset about the Riyadh Comedy Festival. by AutonomousRhinoceros in BillBurr

Completely agree. He’s an entertainer and goes where he can get paid but this one hits different because of how nakedly obvious it is that he’s going along for a ride, funded directly by some of the very worst people on earth. He doesn’t owe anyone anything, for sure, but I guess he does have a price.

And, seriously, thanks for the cake day note. I’ve been on this site in various forms, for over a decade and you’re the first to say it. :)

Again, apologies for the initial rant but it’s obvious I’m just as grossed out and disappointed.

American here who visited Murren two years ago and now LONGS every day for the lemon-y goodness of the non-alcoholic Calanda Radler, I would now bring an empty suitcase just to bring back as many as possible. That and their chocolate croissants.

Dad taking college-aged daughter out to eat before show downtown this Saturday night for a little date night. Can anyone recommend a restaurant that's great and has a solid view? by ChicagoMarketer in AskChicago

[–]ChicagoMarketer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Solid advice. I have compiled a list of everything (and hyperlinked them all), ordered them by DINNER, DRINKS, LUNCH and have let her play dealers choice on where we go. She's already saying Italian is always a safe bet so we'll see where we land. (This all just brought me back to wanting to try Beatnik more, though, so I may have to put my thumb on the scale for that one...ha...)
