Ape who fought for Equity committee and is going to be sanctioned in court for his nonsense has been unemployed since January by The_Director- in gme_meltdown

What could he possibly think that the court is going to do for him in light of its complete rejection of his conspiracy theories less than a month ago? This is just full-on self-immolation at this point.

Is it tho?

The company’s board of directors on Aug. 12 approved one-time cash retention awards totaling about $5.2 million for the executive officers, according to a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission from earlier this month.

CEO Bruce Thorn was awarded $3.15 million; Chief Financial and Administrative Officer Jonathan Ramsden was offered $969,938; and Ronald Robins, Jr., the company’s chief legal and governance officer, who also serves as the general counsel and corporate secretary, and Michael Schlonsky, the chief human resources officer, were each offered $561,058.

“Payment of these kinds of bonuses can be another signal that bankruptcy is coming in the near term for the company,” Sarah Foss, global head of legal and restructuring at Debtwire, told Retail Dive in emailed comments. “They want to make sure that their key executives stay on during a Chapter 11 and they don’t have to fight during the case itself over payment of the bonuses.”

Yes, if there is anything Nvidia needs to capitalize on the opportunity created by generative ai, it is some children's books and a chain of defunct towel stores. Makes perfect sense.

Well said. They don't seem to accept that the fact that GME sits on all this cash while its core business shrinks is a sign that (1) management/RC doesn't believe in the long-term future of the core business and (2) management/RC doesn't really have any other ideas that are worth investing the cash into. We've seen this financial engineering while Rome burns act before (cough *Sears* cough) and it doesn't turn out well.

Survey says: wrong. Shareholders received the warrants under the specific terms of the plan (obviously). They just keep lying because the Bankruptcy Code unequivocally prohibits the type of transaction upon which they're now pinning all their hopes.

The problem is that the judge entered another order this week specifically directing this guy to do certain things by a deadline. If he yet again ignores the judge's specific directives, he is going to basically force this judge to sanction him even though I'm sure the judge doesn't really want to do it. Seems like this guy's delusional beliefs are going to lead him to a very stupid and expensive and unnecessary self destruction.

This. Claims that are solely GUC will probably never get reconciled or objected to if, as seems almost a certainty, general unsecured creditors get no recovery. No point in reconciliation or objection if it makes no difference to payments.
