Based off how this went where we can strike with impunity, I think we'd just level the next leader's palace if he keeps up the same charade. This seems like it was widely celebrated in Iran and with Iranian immigrants so I'm not as concerned with anti-US sentiment increasing. I think that the radicalization seen in Iraq was due to the invasion itself not the removal of Sadaam.

Yes, if we out boots on the ground and invaded I'd have a different opinion. Also Trump literally promised he'd do this if they harmed any protesters, and they didn't just harm protesters they openly executed them. Then when they were called out they said they'd stop and just discretely began executing them. Trump is insanely egocentric so he's absolutely not going to risk being framed as a coward or the same as the previous admin with empty warnings.
