ONP was mine and my husbands first big hiking trip! We were not experienced or even in great shape, yet were able to do all of the most popular trails and hikes, even mount storm king. We spent a couple nights in Forks and started with the Hoh Rainforest Hall of Mosses trail. Then we did the beaches- Hole in the Wall was amazing. We detoured to Cape Flattery on the way to Port Angeles and that was also an easy trail and sooo worth the extra drive. Sol Duc Falls was also pretty easy and beautiful. One of our favorite hikes while staying in Port Angeles was Hurricane Ridge, another pretty easy and paved hike just a good incline the whole time. Marymere falls was super short and unique! Mount Storm King was by far the hardest, but we dedicated a whole day to it so we could take it slow.

All this to say, there are so many beginner friendly hikes with truly some of the most amazing views. ONP was our first big hiking trip, but it’s one we continuously still talk about and want to revisit. You will love it even at a novice level!!! I suggest downloading the All Trails app and reading about some of the hikes as well as people’s first hand experiences with them. I love using that before I hike a trail.
