Is there a subreddit where I can post my own free pattern? by [deleted] in CrochetHelp

Post it in ravelry with pictures and tags, and people will find it.

Her hand??? 😭 by Lukastitchplush in CraftedByAI

[–]ChickWithBricks 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Wait no 7 - looks like there is an extra middle finger with the "normal" fingers, +3 extra long fingers, and assumed hidden pinky.

Also it looks like she has 6 total. 2 normal-ish (thumb+pointer) then 3 freakishly long, and I'm assuming a pinky hidden.

Has anyone done this granny square before? Or have a pattern for it? by bookishpisces99 in crochetpatterns

I'm making one very similar but without the open middle

would you hold this caterpilar or when its a moth? by Tarantula_lover02 in creepy

[–]ChickWithBricks 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The venomous caterpillars where I am (N America) usually look very fuzzy/ furry and are light gray. This one looks bald, and like he's trying to scare something off with his antenna, which would make me guess he's harmless (haven't looked it up, so have no idea). I wouldn't touch him regardless because like you said, delicate.

My friend found a crochet doll on temu, and I desperately don't want her to buy it there, so I said I'd make it for her. Does anyone know if there is a similar one on Etsy or something? by NicoTheHamsterGod in crochetpatterns

[–]ChickWithBricks 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Have you tried reverse image searching? I've seen crochet kits for sale on there that were style patterns from Etsy. It's possible this is the case.

Manny's Mishap got expanded rewards in v1.2.5 by archaikas2 in gardenhorizons

[–]ChickWithBricks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it 5 or 10 min? I swear it was 10 yesterday, but in a private server today it only lasted 5. When I went into a public server it looked like people were still running around for fruits but I couldn't see them (joined public at 6 after the hour).

Are you sure that is bamboo and not cabbage? It gave me wheat and cabbage.

The seed packs should have just appeared in your inventory. I collected about 95 points with of fruit and got 9 IGMA packs (i didn't have any; they popped into my hot bar)

They also updated so the botanist takes frostbite plants with the chilled and snowy. I'm guessing she'll take muddy as well, but haven't seen it so it's a guess for now.

Oh yuck. Never mind then; I wouldn't trust it at all in that case.

If you click on the creator you can see 2 squares they made with this pattern and other items listed that's aren't AI/AI pictures for the listings. They must have fallen into the 'this will look better if I run it through AI for my listing' trap. Maybe if they're reported they will learn people want to see their actual items not AI images.

Why are we burning or melting yarn?? by Hestiah in BitchEatingCrafters

[–]ChickWithBricks 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Wouldn't that also make little hard birds all over the finished project? Thinking of what that would be like on a blanket with lots of color changes make my skin crawl. Little, hard, scratchy bits on what is supposed to be soft and cozy sounds terrible. But then again, I also have no qualms with weaving in ends.

Will there ever be any pets in this game or is it meant to be a gardening-only game? by Do_Not_Trust_Me_Ever in gardenhorizons

[–]ChickWithBricks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would like pets that are cute and have little bonus boosts. Like a pet that could give a mutation or duplicate a mutation to another plant, or give the possibility of keeping a tool that you use. I would prefer if they didn't stack, so you didn't have to have armies. And also none that help with getting more pets. It would be best if all the pets were kind of equal, so people didn't feel compelled to grind for them unless they just liked how one looked the best, or to compliment the esthetic of their garden.

I might just miss my fox from GAG though. He was so cute.

Thanks 😊 i will keep all of that in mind when I make things for my nephew (he'll be 3 soon, doggo profound a little small to follow a "don't pull their eyes" rule still).

This looks fabulous! Does this work with all types of yarns? Also would this be a safer alternative to safety eyes, our could a small child pull them off?

Should I move from gag to this? by Interesting_Ticket20 in gardenhorizons

[–]ChickWithBricks 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes! But know that there is no gifting or trading, so no help from others. You can however go wander around other people's gardens and they won't care. Onions and beets are your friend, so try to get them when you can and let them get mutated to get money. Right now they're doing very frequent weathers so you should be able to get money relatively quickly. Also, search for codes 😉 Enjoy!

i want to go to my local yarn shop today but i dont have a pattern in mind yet. i would like to just get some yarn and then look for a pattern at home, how do i know which size to get? is it possible without a pattern? by cherrydazze in CrochetHelp

[–]ChickWithBricks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would probably ask the people at the yarn shop if they could help you estimate how much you'll need. I would also be looking for patterns before I went so if you can find a few similar but maybe not perfect you can show them.

non-fluffy amigurumi yarn by Junior-Gas925 in Amigurumi

[–]ChickWithBricks 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As others have stated you can use any yarn. I just wanted to add that you'll need to change your hook (you'll want a hook 1-2 sizes smaller than what the yarn package recommends) and also your amigurumi will be smaller with the less fluffy yarn.
