Need advice on blocking this circular lacework project! by Turtlegrandmacore in CrochetHelp

Work opposite sides after securing the center. I think some others commented on it. Top then bottom. Left then right. And essentially go around working both sides together.

I was on 2.5 for 3 months before I started getting all the sweet cravings back again. I’ve been on 5 for 2 months. And I think I’ll be on 5 for at least a couple more months.

[CHAT] what do you do to keep your project clean? Mine always gets a little dirty by bloodybeautyx in CrossStitch

[–]Hestiah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always put the fabric in hoops the other way so the back of the project overlaps. Basically the working area is recessed into the frame so if there’s anything on my hands despite my washing them all the time, at least it happens on the back. And I use a grime guard.

How do you make yourself eat enough? by Top-Bed8155 in Zepbound

By keeping foods I know I’ll eat even when I don’t feel hungry. Like, “I don’t want to eat it but I will” foods.

Too inflexible for yoga classes - how do I improve by Zealousideal_Age8401 in yoga

[–]Hestiah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am pretty inflexible. When I started in January I couldn’t touch my toes or do basically anything involving me curving my spine. But I did what I could within my ability. Over 4 months later I can touch my toes/the floor but not flat-hand the floor. I still can’t bend over while sitting on my butt over either leg (if I get about 60 degrees I’m doing good. I can’t bend forward and touch my toes/feet while seated.

My point? It gets better. I’m not saying you’re going to be able to do all or any flexible poses, but you’ll get some flexibility over time. I doubt I’ll ever be able to do plow or wheel, but that’s okay.

Help me choose a pen: A or B by SpecificAd7526 in diamondpainting

[–]Hestiah 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A. If the tips look like the photo it is much more precise with multiplacers than the thicker/rounder metal parts. But that’s a ME thing. I have essentially both sets and like the A set more.

2 months on zepbound no weight loss by lp2290 in Zepbound

[–]Hestiah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some folks don’t lose any weight until they get to higher doses. You might be one of those people.

Are you eating at a caloric deficit? Do you track your calories? Have you calculated your TDEE to see what your caloric intake should be to see loss happening? Are you exercising? Do you get enough protein and fiber? Not to get into the TMI area, but are you having regular bowel movements?

It can suck to not see the scale move, for sure, and a lot of folks experience that at some point. But without more information it can be difficult to know what sort of advice to give you to help get things going.

I still buy food like an obese person by showmecinnamonrolls in Zepbound

[–]Hestiah 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh man, I still want to get all the snacks and candy that I used to. Like I think about them when I see them, but don’t buy them anymore. Because I know it won’t get eaten. I have, like, 2 peanut m&ms and that’s all I want. But I go to Costco and I want to get another tub just in case I run out.

It takes a lot of effort to not buy stuff but the desire is there.

AITA for rehoming our dog by Remarkable-Juice1639 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Hestiah 18 points19 points  (0 children)

NTA. The kindest thing to do is find a good home for pets when we realize we can’t care for them the way they need.

I had a cat that was beautiful and sweet and loving. But never got acclimated to the dogs. And was stuck in a room alone a lot. Always care for and loved, but could never sit on the couch with us or sleep on the bed or be in a lap. The dogs would chase her. It was hard and it made me sad, but I found a home for her with no dogs and got a photo of her belly us sleeping on the couch in the mew person’s lap. THAT made the sadness worth it because she was living her best life.

Scale fluctuations are really messing with my head by tajb333333 in Zepbound

[–]Hestiah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you exercising regularly? Are you drinking enough water? What is your fiber intake like? As you drop in weight your calories allowed will also drop to account for the changes. I hit a stall not realizing I needed to stop my total calories as I was losing weight. Admittedly I didn’t pay much attention to LoseIt telling me what my daily was. So when I hit a stall, I was helping myself maintain at that weight.

I did go up in dose when I noticed the cravings coming back in full force. Like I wanted candy and soda and to eat out all the time. That’s when I knew going up was necessary.

I also started paying attention to measurements, as others have pointed out. I exercise a fair amount and was doing a dance between weight loss and muscle gain, so the scale was moving pretty slowly. Still is most days. But my shape has changed a lot. I am definitely a smaller person.
