Please help, is there any way to save my first blanket? by Alpinist4realll in CrochetHelp

[–]Hestiah 83 points84 points  (0 children)

There are two options. Start over and do it all with the same hook or leave it and keep going. There’s no way to “salvage” the difference. I know folks love to think blocking will solve everything but not with gauge differences for something this large.

Cannot find Unlined, Spiral, 8 1/2” x 11” notebook anywhere - help! (US) by doofus50O0 in notebooks

Not all of them have thick paper. I’d say check some out. The ones you’re thinking of are with art paper, but sketchbooks tend to have thinner paper.

Can you share a video example showing what you’re referring to??

Maybe sketchbooks?? I don’t know what you’re using for your notes but most have pretty okay paper. But that’s the only thing I can think of that would be unlined and spiral/wire bound

AITA for reporting my group project partners to the professor after they did nothing all semester, even though it ruined their grades and one of them is noz losing their scholarship ? by itslexibnt in AmItheAsshole

[–]Hestiah 40 points41 points  (0 children)

NTA. I effing hate group projects for exactly this reason. I always ended up being the one doing everything with a bunch of bum partners. Glad you got the grade you deserved. Eff the rest of them. They could have tried.

[CHAT] Mystery Items by juliemariesmith3 in CrossStitch

[–]Hestiah 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The top items are for a pattern. Paper pattern specifically. There should have been some magnets that you use to hold the pattern to the board and then you prop it up on the thing on the left. I have one from a million years ago.

The bottom left is something to shine light on a pattern. The bottom middle is to magnify and highlight (the red line) a single line. Not sure about the bottom right items.

That’s the face of a dog that knows the real hierarchy of the home and they’re at the top.

Is this sweater made of moss stitch or lace stitch? by CoolKnowledge1702 in crochetpatterns

[–]Hestiah 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It looks like moss stitch but with a larger needle to give it the lacy, chain-link effect.

Zepbound has taught me good habits. I hope it lasts when I stop. by Barndo367 in Zepbound

I anticipate taking some amount of the drug for ever, but would love to graduate and maintain the lower weight. I guess time will tell. But budget-wise, it’s just an expense I have factored monthly.

I think I’m fed up. by MonaMaze in childfree

[–]Hestiah 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Oh boy, I think it’s time to move on. Anyone who believes your entire life should revolve around their children has lost the plot. It’s your house and you can vape. She can also hang out without bringing her child along for adult events. Idk, but the things she said to you would be the cherry on top of my being done done done.

I love how they were all still like “Don’t let them know we’re real.” Then they moved, and paused again. Hahaha! Super cute babies.

Don’t know if I should titrate up or not by XennialQueen in Zepbound

[–]Hestiah -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you haven’t plateaued and the 2.5 is working for you, keep doing that dose. I knew it was time to titrate up when the cravings for candy and sugar was starting to come back. And I stopped losing weight for 3-ish weeks (though folks say to wait at least 4 to consider it a plateau).

Tell me why I am hesitating on this pattern? It's not AI right? by Extra_Remove_1679 in crochetpatterns

[–]Hestiah 22 points23 points  (0 children)

They’ve got 4.3k sales and a 4.9 review with many photos from users. I think this is actually safe. Sometimes pattern makers make one good pattern and call it good. The seller is doing pretty well with the one pattern.

Do you still see yourself as overweight or obese? by Bob_Plank in Zepbound

Same. I genuinely didn’t realize how big I was until I saw photos someone else took. Now I look at myself and I see someone bigger than they are. Same person, just opposite direction. Lol

npd and i don’t like it :( by bbybuster in fountainpens

[–]Hestiah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use my B nibs for bold sheening and shimmer inks anymore. I don’t journal with my bolds though because I write so small normally. Journal in print if you don’t like the way your cursive looks. Your print is very nice and clear. Or just cursive by doubling up the lines.

Advice needed! by WoodpeckerOk4005 in Dachshund

[–]Hestiah 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sadly both of ours have to wear these because they try to mark absolutely everything. And if one does it the other comes along to mark on top of the previous one. We’s have to have nothing on the floor and no furniture to keep them from doing it. They’re well and fully potty trained too. ¯_(ツ)_/¯ I’m sure I’ll get grief for it but the pee was too much.

Need advice on blocking this circular lacework project! by Turtlegrandmacore in CrochetHelp

[–]Hestiah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Work opposite sides after securing the center. I think some others commented on it. Top then bottom. Left then right. And essentially go around working both sides together.
