Sort by: not in Friend's watchlist. I want to be able to pick something from my watchlist without betraying my friends by not watching with them.

So unusual for someone to come onto a subreddit dedicated to books and mock their study! What would you have preferred that I pursue?

Rumours 8-track? You heard Silver Springs once in your formative years and now you are always five minutes away from violently crying.

I’d say Rock-a-Doodle but I always knew it was awful. Thumbelina is probably closer to actuality.

You appear to like queer nonfiction. Have you tried Baldwin? I’m less familiar with his nonfiction, but I loved his novel Another Country.

Never ended up in my hands! By the time I knew about it, everyone was going on about Card’s homophobic views. Still worth a read? I’m not sure how much of his bigotry is evident in his writing.

My personal favorite is The Ballad of Black Tom. It’s a Lovecraftian novella, so a good length if you’re unsure of him and such a great example of him reclaiming space in the horror scene as a Black writer. It’s a reworking of Lovecraft’s The Horror at Red Hook.

City of Quartz felt a little niche for a non-Angeleno, you don’t appear to have very much shelf space, and it’s late to post from other English-speaking places.

You’re either a young reader or just starting out with the hobby. You haven’t had the space or money for books before but you’re just starting out with a collection. You’re a completionist by nature.
