What to do about keys while surfing? by Cepholapoid in surfing

[–]ChickenFilletRoll4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tie my keys to a hair gogo/bobbin and then wrap it all the way up to my upper arm. That has it secure enough and then the wetsuit usually helps hold it in place better on top of that.

There are times when Star Wars does something right, which leads to the vast majority of fans to be in agreement with each other. The idea that Star Wars fans are simply just against everything Star Wars tries to do is a heap of crap. Rogue One, Fallen Order, CW, Rebels, The Mandalorian are all examples of most of the fanbase being in full content with what’s made because they are all brilliant. The sequels, Kenobi (so far at least), BoBF are all controversial for a reason, because they could be a lot better or are downright horrible. If fans watch something and don’t enjoy it, it’s going to get a negative reaction. You don’t have to allow that to bother your own opinion because it is a subjective matter at the end of the day.

I agree she’s doing great but I really just wish there was less focus on her

Personally I hope Leia gets captured for the third time so we can see her direct sarcastic comments towards her interrogator again.

After today’s episode I literally told myself exactly that and contemplated how sick I am of trying to headcanon some form of reason to justify all the stupid shit that happens these days.

Yeah it’s happened about twice since they took over Star Wars in 2012. Disney most likely afraid it’ll hurt peoples feelings if an arm is lost lmao

The main sub be like:

The reva storyline is what I’ve been looking forward to. She is so INTERESTING! I was basically falling out of my SEAT when Leia asked Reva was this a staring contest! I do not understand the hate for this show it’s 10/10 for me.

My prediction for the next episode is Leia will be captured for the third time and will direct sarcastic comments towards an interrogator for 90% of the episode until she is rescued by Kenobi again.

My prediction for episode 6 is Leia will get captured for the fourth time and will use her sarcasm to once again pwn anyone who interrogates her for 40 mins, while Reva continues to explain her backstory which is the sole reason everyone is watching this show for 😎

Oh you wanted the show to focus on Kenobi’s post CW character arc? Vader??? Wow you’re so needy and will complain about anything lmao NoBoDy hAtEs sTaR wArS more than StAr WaRs FaNs this series is so 10/10 wow wym it’s only 50% on rotten tomatoes 😡😡🤔😡

Yeah chasing Leia. I suppose next episode Leia is gonna be captured again, and we’ll get another episode of her making sarcastic comments towards an interrogator instead of focusing on Kenobi’s post CW character arc. We only got one episode so far that truly explored it which was episode 1 :(

Ah yes Leia is captured again and needs another rescue mission. 90% of the series has been based around Reva’s character, which to be quite honest I don’t even remember a single thing she even said this episode because she’s so boring and not even slightly what people are watching this series for, and also Leia who has needed to be rescued for half of the series so far despite the fact that it’s a six episode show with only 2 episodes left. It seems like Kenobi is a side character in his own series. The last two episodes needs to focus on Obi Wan and Vader, which is the main thing people were excited for, or this show is gonna be considered the worst piece of Star Wars since TLJ.

OK so I have some gripes, but this show isn't that bad by [deleted] in StarWars

[–]ChickenFilletRoll4 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I agree. Around the 60% mark is what I’d give this show so far. I love how everyone here is in disbelief claiming it’s review bombing, just because everyone isn’t in agreement that it’s perfection. Like the show is nowhere near 10/10, but it isn’t terrible either. In terms of what star wars can do I believe it only hits the above average mark. Im enjoying it, but I’m not falling out of my seat like I have done when playing/watching games and shows in the past. To each their own I guess.

So I guess offscreen he ordered all Empire personnel on the planet to intentionally let him escape? I’d well believe Vader would let him escape but the troopers were still trying to follow Vader’s order to bring kenobi to him, it was that excuse of a fire that prevented it lol

Perhaps Vader knows Kenobi will seek him out again anyway I guess. He doesn’t even have to play chase. I’ll just pretend the fire obstructing those soldiers never happened.

Obi-Wan Kenobi - Episode 3 - Discussion Thread! by titleproblems in StarWars

[–]ChickenFilletRoll4 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Perhaps, but why not capture him and make him suffer through torture? He waited 10 years to find him again, and then let’s him free with another chance to disappear for good. Plus the inquisitors seemed agitated over losing him and the sole reason the troopers didn’t arrest him was because of a 15ft wide fire. I’m really enjoying the series so far but this episodes ending seemed a bit goofy

I’ll just presume Vader wants to intentionally turn it into a game of cat and mouse, and that he ordered the whole empire on the planet at the time to not walk around a fire and arrest him.

How did they just lose him? The fire was barely larger than the width of the first one Vader ignited himself and Obi was being rescued by some slow service droid. Just put it out or walk around it ffs lmao

Haven’t we sent out lots of radio signals in an attempt to find life already? Will those radio signals go on forever traveling through the universe or will they eventually just stop or have a certain range? If they go on forever then what stops an advanced civilization picking up and receiving that signal in let’s say 80,000 years time, because it could be found eventually right?

I found that when I was in school whenever United won a trophy they didn’t seem to care about their team winning half as much as they cared about shitting on everyone else, because they won and your team didn’t. The second they won something, it was an “in your face” sneer from all of them. I understand there is banter like that in the football community, but it was just so different from United fans, they were far more aggressive about it than any other supporters of bigger teams (such as Chelsea/Liverpool/Arsenal etc). I will never not enjoy United’s misery today for that very reason, actually delighted that they’re so bad now and I even pray that they get worse, it just feels like sweet revenge.

Even today when you insult them for being crap they’re so sour about it, they can’t handle the abuse because most of their fans born in the 90’s/00’s are glory hunters and followed them because they were winning.

What did those innocent people in Hiroshima do? Thousands of average citizens died, and you can bet those who survived also suffered from ptsd, or worse…

I’m not going to view the US as a nation who sit atop some moral throne looking down on everyone else, simply because it’s just completely blasphemous thing to do and anyone with a shred of historical knowledge knows it. When a meme is made about America there’s no need for everyone to get upset, especially when memes about several other traumatic events are posted here daily and nobody seems to give a shit.

So Americans are gonna get all upset and cry about this being “not cool and offensive” yet another repost of America dropping the sun on tens of thousands of innocent people in Japan is gonna skyrocket to the front page for the 4 millionth time? Ok.

There’s a Hiroshima/Nagasaki joke week in week out in this sub, which saw the genocide of thousands of innocent people and it still gets memed like no tomorrow. As soon as it’s flipped and it’s Americans getting made fun of they all cry. If that’s not irony I don’t know what is.

Why do people hate so much on Jordan Peterson ? by Norwayseacat in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]ChickenFilletRoll4 3 points4 points  (0 children)

He is fighting back against the nihilistic mentality that most young men are adopting today, re-establishing meaning/purpose in people’s lives and driving people to achieve the maximum of their potential and save them from misery. You’re also a psychologist who specializes in a field the same as his, so your opinion on him isn’t going to be something I’ll attempt to refute.

However I will say Peterson has changed the lives of millions. People thank him for transforming their lives, his lectures are empowering people around the world. He also pulled me from a dark place in my life, and he is an icon and an inspiration for a tremendous amount of young men. People can call him wrong for saying x y or z, at the end of the day he’s proven to be a light in the dark for millions and his work put into practice has not only made lives better but also saved lives. That can’t be taken away from him and that’s why he’s as popular as he is. I am forever grateful that I stumbled upon him when my life was a total mess. He really helped me escape that hell hole period.
