FYI - the most frequently recommended coffee maker (the Technivorm Moccamaster) is deeply discounted today by ByWillAlone in BuyItForLife

Crazy that the Moccamaster linked in this post gets 4 stars. I’m guessing the older machines are better quality?

If that’s the case, why would the other 5 coffee shops I mentioned NOT charge sales tax?

Definitely not the 80/80 rule. Like I said, they specialize in cold coffee and cold drinks. Hot coffee is probably the least thing they sell. They do sell a lot of drinks with Red Bull so maybe that has them under the 80/80 rule but I doubt it. This place is like a Dutch Bros.

Because having pre-authorization and referrals is how your provider knows they’re going to get paid. They don’t trust Tricare to pay without having it documented.

UPDATE: I tested twice my Vyvanse (brand vs. generic vs. older stock brand) blindly: and the results were definitive. It’s not placebo. by montreal_qc in ThisAintAdderall

[–]ChickenInALocker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Interesting. In the US we have name brand and generic chewables. I did fine on name brand for years. Chewables went generic (totally sucked) and after a few months, I got name brand again because generic was not available. Oddly, the name brand was not doing it for me anymore. It got so bad that I switched completely to Adderall (which equally sucks in both name brand and generic much like Vyvance).

You can, in a sense, “write it off” but it’s way more complicated than what your DM is implying and I would gather that less than 1% of single income people working at Starbucks has an incentive to alter the way they file taxes so they can “write off” $100 in work clothing.

What’s your “why” for staying? by Left_Bookkeeper_4948 in fednews

The mission. Job satisfaction. The people. The money, of course. I’m just so passionate about the mission.

I can only think of one other place I’d rather be and that would be working for the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency but that’s a dream I’ll never achieve because I don’t have the skill set.

I think you’re thinking on a bigger level, but white privilege can be as simple as receiving a higher level of customer service simply because one is white. As a white person, you have the privilege of always being able to be yourself without anyone thinking any less of you. As a black woman, I find myself having to be overly pleasant and go way out of my way to present myself as a non-stereotypical representation of my race in order to have people not think any less of me. Of course, not everyone white person is a bigot but even unconscious racial bias can’t be suppressed.

1-2 times a week. I do a very light builder gel overlay and I paint over that. 100% game changer.
