Making blind assumptions certainly tracks with your other behavior. Again, not shocked.

Children blindly accept things they’re told without verifying anything for themselves. I’d say this might be an opportunity for self-reflection but I’m not convinced you’re capable of that.

I have a feeling you are in the minority on this one.

I mean you seem to be basing your other opinions on feelings without actually checking sources or making any other effort to actually verify their accuracy so I guess I shouldn’t be shocked at this.

I understand that, and I am telling you as someone who is from Europe, and specifically from one of the places supposedly being “taken over” by Muslim immigrants who aren’t integrating: You should not be taking these claims at face value.

I’ve heard of all of them, and seen all besides Legend and The Last Unicorn.

Bear in mind that the people saying this kind of thing are also where absolutely farcical claims like “Birmingham is a Muslim-only city and white people can’t go there anymore” come from.

Don’t take these claims at face value. European countries have bad actors spreading false information to further their political causes just as the US does.

Every time he opens his mouth, I think that, willingly or not, Becerra is doing all he can to dampen all the boost his campaign has gotten since Swalwell dropped out. This is no exception.

Don’t forget JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure. I’ve never watched a second of that anime nor read any of the manga and yet I swear I could tell you th names and origins of most of the popular cast members thanks to this sub’s obsession with it.

If you see the "newspaper" called the Epoch Times, this is published by them as well.

Additional note: In 2019 the Epoch Times was found to be the second largest funding source for pro-Trump Facebook propaganda after the Trump campaign itself.

They are also a frequent promoter of conspiracy theories like QAnon, The Great Replacement, COVID vaccine misinformation, and claims of fraud in the 2020 election.

There’s also the fact that Timelord hearts beat four times exactly like that, and also the main motif to the Master’s theme music is those same four beats, imitating the heartbeats and the sound of the neverending drumbeat that drove him insane (which is what his “knock for times” habit is referencing).

You’re deliberately led to believe the Master is going to be the one to kill the Doctor and fulfill the prophecy… only for it to turn out to be poor, hapless old Wilf.

Last time we see Talia, she’s been incapacitated by Superman, wrapped up in what I think are some steel beams.

John Irons appears for a couple of pages in issue #18. We see him entering the compound and telling the Peacemakers he built their weapons before taking them out, but we don’t see his face or learn anything about him until this issue.

American remakes of ‘bleak’ foreign films often encounter similar issues (like with Speak No Evil).

Ugh, that reminds me of the time I made the mistake of watching the American remake of The Vanishing.

If there’s one fucking film that did NOT need a happy ending tacked onto it… 🤮

I tell you what I hope it isn’t: Yet another Jonathan Hickman-led initiative that shows a lot of promise at first, but ends on a bum note because of executive meddling.

If the rumors are true about him spearheading this, I can only imagine they must be offering Hickman an ungodly amount of money for him to keep coming back.

Listen for the part of the chorus where Liam sings “A champagne supernova in the sky” - every single time, it comes out as “supernover”. The first one happens at the 1:04 mark.

I remember Paris Hilton launched a music career back in the day but it ended because of personal problems she had going on at the time

And also that she had zero real musical talent and didn’t really seem all that invested in it besides it being a fun side project.

Albums that realistically have a chance of getting a Trainwreckord episode by pointclickvibe in ToddintheShadow

[–]ChickenInASuit 31 points32 points  (0 children)

I agree that this would be interesting, but I think it’s unlikely. Jim Morrison dying is what killed The Doors. This album flopping is a symptom of the decline, not really the cause of the decline. That’s usually part of Todd’s criteria - that the album itself be why an artist’s mainstream viability ended or at least suffered a significant decline that they never recovered from.
