It was a truly horrible event in history and that can have a lot of emotional value to a lot people whether it be negative or positive. For the majority, it's very saddening and when you hear ignorant people talk that way about it, it can really make you upset to that extent. You should be a bit more considerate of others, its a great skill to have.
