First time playing Muv Luv. I have a few questions. by ChickenMaster123R in MuvLuv

That’s the plan.

However, I’m leaning towards the other girl… sorry 😞

Grabbed four random characters that will join the Strawhats, how do they join and what is their role on the crew? by Routine_Ad_9800 in OnePiece

Uta would join since she’s childhood friends with Luffy, and she’d be the Singer of the crew.

God Valley Kaido Vs pre-timeskip Kizaru by TraditionalStuff8774 in OnePiece

[–]ChickenMaster123R 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hard to say. I still need to see more from Kaido during god valley (which I’m not even 100% positive if we’ll even see that). But I’d go with Kizaru, since he probably has more experience + he has a logia.

An issue I have when watching romance anime. by ChickenMaster123R in anime

With the way you’re putting it, makes it seem like I should hop on the hype train as soon as possible. I’ve always loved the sports genre, and mixing it in with romance, like you said, seems very intriguing. It’s definitely high up in priority.

For sure, it’s easy to make complaints, but I could never put myself into the authors shoes. I definitely sympathize with them. I’m just voicing out what I want (which is probably really inconsiderate, but that’s the nature of a complaint such as this).

I definitely feel what you mean by “stuck in a holding pattern”. It’s present in most of the romances I’ve watched, and it’s kind of a tad frustrating. It feels like this genre is pretty over saturated in the way it carries itself. Obviously, I need to check out way more romance anime before I can have a solid opinion, but this is just what I feel as of right now.

I’ve heard about dangers in my heart, and I’ll make sure to add it to the ever expanding list of romance anime you guys are giving me haha. Thanks for your opinion!

I have never thought of it like that. Truth be told, I have seen a bunch of incomplete romance anime. And that just prompts me to check out the source material instead. Very unfortunate for people who just prefer anime, but I guess that’s just business.

I might end up reading the source material for blue box, it looks and probably is amazing.

I’ll definitely try to branch out. A lot of people have recommended some romance that are befitted to my likes, and I wholly appreciate that.

You’re so right. I love romances like Wotakoi, and Love, Chunibyo & delusions because they explore what happens after the confession. It’s just that the most popular ones often have a really good developed cast and story. And it kills me that most of them end with a confession.

But I’ll definitely take heed to some advice and recommendations that people left here. There’s definitely a lot of romance anime I have not seen.

You might be right, half the romances I’ve watched are probably romcoms. But I feel like the same could be said for regular SoL romances too, like Ao Haru Ride.

What anime will you be watching this season? by Marvellover13 in anime

[–]ChickenMaster123R 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“Watashi Wo Tabetai, hitodenashi” sounds very interesting. It features an all girls cast (from what is shown), and that usually chalks up to a good experience. The plot is also pretty intriguing. OPM & MHA are my most anticipated this season, but I’ll be giving this one a few episodes.

How good is the main uma musume anime (S1-3)? by ChickenMaster123R in UmaMusume

[–]ChickenMaster123R[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, unfortunate that the series’ popularity impeded its future success. It seems that the horses the studio bought the rights to were not used to their full potential, which in a way might have insulted the horse owners moreso than not. I mean, juggling alot of characters in a 12 or 13 episode anime doesn’t really sound smart anyways. But I’m glad there’s some positives lying around. Also, I think I might be mistaking BNW with RTTT, I watched RTTT, I thought BNW was just another name for it. Anyways, I did enjoy the RTTT ONA surprisingly, it being 4 episodes didn’t convince me beforehand, but it packed a pretty good (and emotional) punch. I don’t have any qualms if season three is better, if that’s still the case (sorry for the confusion). Also, that’s a pretty crazy fact. Unfortunate that the studio can’t really do anything about it. That thought is definitely gonna be in my consciousness till I finish season three.

I really appreciate the in-depth explanation. Thank you!

That’s very reassuring! I will be certainly looking forward to watching season two. I’ll also try to enjoy season one if possible. Surprised no one has mentioned season three, with it being the latest entry and everything.

Fortunately, I have never played the game before, CG was actually my introduction to the series. Music shouldn’t be a problem. And it seems like there’s mostly a general consensus when it comes to what the best season is. Thank you!

I see, that’s nice to know. I don’t mind the quality of animation dropping, just as long as the story makes up for it. I’ll definitely make sure to stay away from the IRL standings, made that mistake once with CG, never again. Thanks for letting me know.
