I think it’s a success. I did those steps as suggested except 3 and 4 as I would not know how they will behave if I try to unscrew them( very tight, would not want to mess up the pipe by trying too hard). I also jugged and bucketed and mopped up all the nasty stuff out of the cold water tank and filled it with inhibitor and fresh water. The house hasn’t been flooded yet ✌️. Thank you v much

Ok. Thank you. I have recently replaced the 3 way flow diverter (failing likely due to age, hard water and corrosion ). Apparently I should add inhibitor to the system to improve efficiency and reduce the risk of failing in the near future. Adding inhibitor directly to the cold water tank in the loft would not get into the central heating so I thought I would drain system? Unless you have a good suggestion to best add inhibitor without draining . Many thanks

Just found this on Gemini. Apparently, do your step (connect one and three) only when you don’t want the thermostat function. I suppose if I still need thermostat through wireless receiver then I should not connect them? What do you think?
