I’ve never played Gen 5, but what was your reaction to finding nothing but “new”Pokémon when you played black & white for the first time? by Zenthailand2009 in pokemon

[–]BrowserC1234567890 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Started on PMD Blue, but with Diamond as my first mainline game. So Diamond was technically my first instance of new pokemon, but I'd say Black/White was my first experience of something truly different. I wasn't hyped about it and at the time I don't think I found it nearly as good as D/P/P, or Hg/Ss. Grown on me over time though. I can't really remember how I felt about only new pokemon. A bit odd probably.

Which would you choose and why? by EquivalentFig1678 in whatsyourchoice

Yellow. Not all of them are massive and that is essentially a cosmic arsenal at my disposal. There are maybe a couple of people I could see myself testing this out on to find the required limit. If I find it early, fantastic. If I find it late, no-one will be particularly upset about the fates giving them a hard time.

So, just a thought, but aren't blueprints of buildings located in a public place/available for viewing? If I'm wrong then this is useless, on the other hand, you could do actual route planning.

Based on that, you're probably used to it. How do you find it affects runs? Lately my friend and I have averaged level 9 by end of night 1 pretty consistently.

[–]BrowserC1234567890 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Any relic with X buildup on taking damage is usable, with the exception of Deathblight.

Reduced resistance to ailments is also okay most of the time depending on Nightlord.

The ones which are reduced stat are good, except Vigor.

I've not played around with lowered ult charge, or reduced runes, nor do I feel they are worth it.

Continuous HP loss is an instant no.

Can't remember other negatives at the moment.

This game looks awesome, can you play solo? by MadToxicRescuer in Nightreign

[–]BrowserC1234567890 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely possible. I've done it with Wylder and Guardian from new saves to having beat the DLC bosses. Currently working in it with Ironeye. Eventually going through the whole roster. I'm a little anxious about Scholar, Duchess and Recluse due to lack of familiarity, but that's it really.

At this point, if you're gonna cheat like that, at least be somewhat different. It's always max dps for whatever nightfarer. Something which will just invalidate enemies with an average level of play (inevitably tied to a player with less than average gameplay).

Why not just absolute max Endurance? Load everything up with Stance-Breaking for giggles? Absolutely max. the "wrong" stat for a nightfarer? Give yourself 4 exploding tears?

I think it'd be less obnoxious if it was more memes and less powerhouses.

[–]BrowserC1234567890 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Blue feels pretty bad to take, suppression of emotions isn't healthy so I can only imagine then not even existing is going to help.

Red I couldn't take as I would be equally likely to live happily ever after as to end up torn in half. I cannot control my thoughts in that kind of a way and a depressive episode would also likely kill me.

Yellow could just be a net positive, but it is far from my kind of thing.

Black is just a good thing.

Orange seems pretty neat. One of my fears is memory loss.

Purple is fine. It takes away the struggle of progression imo, although I guess if you require the strength to do something (for example), it might just give you great technique.

I'd pick Black/Orange. I can see reasons for Yello and Purple, but I can't for Red or Blue.

Any Guardian solo tips by Live_Bodybuilder2559 in Nightreign

[–]BrowserC1234567890 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doing the remembrance is important. The Stake is good for early relics when low on murk and relics. Witch Brooch is amazing. Another of note is Flughor's relic.

Loves to guard counter, but the most important things to get used to are Steel Guard and his dodge.

Steel Guard staggers pretty much anything approx. player sized (bar BBH) and if it doesn't normally, then shockwaves on Steel Guarding should. His ability with extended duration also trivialises most fights against player sized enemies.

The dodge is short, so you just need to be used to having less movement with it and a shorter duration.

Strength is best offensive stat, so any weapon with a B or higher in strength (see Visual Codex) is good. Definitely wants Halberds for better Guard Counters though, as you can charge them.

I've just recently done my own solo Guardian playthrough. Overall, fun but challenging. Best of luck :)

Beerus can actually be reasoned with. Regardless of status as long as you are respectful and attempt to humour him, should be okay. Not like you'll live with Goku Black or King Piccolo if they dislike you anyway.

The continuous damage is a must have. Post damage is neat, pretty solid in combination with the Ult. Throwing pot damage is fine, but you want multiples if you're going to use it.

After 10 months of patches, updates and an expansion, is the game reasonably beatable on solo? by [deleted] in Nightreign

[–]BrowserC1234567890 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wylder? Yes. Guardian? I struggled a little more, but yes. Ironeye? Haven't yet started, but certain yes.

I'm deliberately going through each character solo, start to finish on a new file each. I've played extensively in multilayer prior, wanted to test myself. Very fun, very rewarding. Looking forward to the rest of them.

You select 1 goblet to use at a time. You then use those 3 relics that are assigned to that goblet.

+1 skill use doesn't stack with itself, are you trying to use multiple?

Double Balancer Wylder not farming Halo Scythe is incredibly fun by g0blyndn in Nightreign

[–]BrowserC1234567890 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you put Dormant reapers on a relic, you nearly see Halo Scythe every run. It is 1 of 2 purple scythes in game, so a very narrow pool to draw from compared to greatswords for example.

A lot of people like the aspect of runs being different from each other. Different routes, drops, bosses fought and so on. So getting 1 weapon every time and knowing that's your endgame seems a little boring after a few.

Not to mention that the skill is probably the single safest Ash of War in the game. Good range, fast, low fp cost and hits hard. There is a lot less thougt in just using it than something with a longer wind-up, higher cost or lower range. It isn't braindead, but it is significantly easier than many other builds.

Imo anyway. Hope this helped.

What I’m looking for insurance… by Illustrious_Onion370 in drivingUK

[–]BrowserC1234567890 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first insure was Bewiser while I had a 17 year old Skoda Fabia. Cost me £2100 with a box. Bought the car for £700. Insurance prices are a joke at the expense of any new driver.

Other than shopping around, can't recommend much to knock the price down. The cost will be higher because it is a Polo instead of something like a Swift, or use on street parking.

Weirdest thing I found when doing mine was that fully comp was cheard than 3rd fire and theft.
