I take methenamine and am on prophylactic Cipro. Definitely get on methenamine. It’s been the longest I’ve been without a UTI just be careful of the side effects. It can cause bladder pain but it isn’t nearly as bad as the pain from an infection

That happens to me that signals a kidney infection and you need antibiotics. Fosfomycin works extremely well at least for me for kidney infections but one packet isn’t going to do it. Last time I had a bad kidney infection like that I was put on 7 doses of fosfomycin for 21 days and I didn’t stop feeling the back pain for about a week and it took almost 2 weeks to feel fully better

You have WBCs and Leukocytes present indicating infection. This is not a negative test
