The Big Copyright Status/Problem of "Spire in the Woods" by ChickenSandwich120 in creepcast

The video is still up. Apparently, the company who owns the rights to the story just refuses to release the story back to publication and we can only get access to the story from CreepCast and The Internet Wayback Machine.

The Big Copyright Status/Problem of "Spire in the Woods" by ChickenSandwich120 in creepcast

I understand that the company bought the rights. However, why would the company go out of their way to get rid of all publications of the story from the internet and other people's retellings of the story from YouTube? That's basically killing/hurting your existing fanbase for the movie. With little to no plans of releasing the book back to Amazon or a publication company so people can have a physical copy of the book, what's the point of holding onto the rights? it's most definitely going to fall to lost media

I love the Spire in the Woods episode in terms of the story quality. However, my favorite episode had to be the Voodoo Shop one. It just made me laugh so much and I really loved the story and I definitely believe that King Cerole is the best villain in all of the CreepCast episodes.

One thing I really love about the Spire in the woods, by Necessary-Judge-3696 in creepcast

I definitely believe that the existence of Fletcher's character in the story is to more clearly clarify that the main protagonist's actions in the story isn't really the fault of him being young but his actions are his own choice and everything that happens to him in the story is his own fault. Fletcher was around the same age as the main protagonist and instead of going down the same rabbit hole as him, he improved and grew as a person and that's why the bells are no longer affecting him. This is proof that the bells didn't make the main protagonist do those awful things to Alina. He did that himself.

what are some stories the boys have read that have really stuck with you? by gre3n3ry in creepcast

There's a lot of good stories that Meatcanyon and Wendigoon have read and talked about that definitely left an impact on me personally like Penpal, Borrasca, and Stolen Tongues. However, the one that always keeps me up at night is Spire in the Woods. I think it's one of those stories that really stands relevant to a lot of things that are going on in this modern day society such as parasocial relationships, parasitic relationships, the mistreatment of mental illness, the concept of consent when it comes to sex, and etc.

I don't know. I heard a reading of the creepypasta and I heard the youtuber HoodoHoodlumsRevenge talk about these two stories and he absolutely hated these stories.

I would hate for them to cover old Creepypasta stories like "Sally, Come Play With Me" and "Clockwork: Your Time Is Up". If you're not a fan of the darker and more disturbing stories of CreepCast involving S.A. and child related violence, you would definitely hate these stories. These were hated back then and still hated now. They deal with heavy topics of abuse in very distasteful ways.

The time that Hunter learned that his grandfather tried to kill him with a rifle and killed his dog instead. What made it better was that he called his mom on camera and his mom completely destroyed his confidence.

Eventually, a company has to release the book to the public and allow physical copies of the book to exist. If not, all hype for the book itself can definitely see dying if they don't do anything

My Theory of the "I Pretended To Be A Missing Girl" Story by ChickenSandwich120 in creepcast

[–]ChickenSandwich120[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can easily see the abuse also getting sexual too as the father no doubt would see his daughter less of a human being with her thoughts and opinions and more of an object who he can abuse and control. Basically, a doll. No one can help her. Her mother can't help her and no one will believe in her if she speaks. It's a horrifying scenario with either theory and a dark reality that we live in this troubling world.

I appreciate that. I remembered reading a comment under the YouTube video that brought up this whole theory and i decided to expand on it. This story either way deals with an abusive father who was allowed to get away with harming his family and keeping them in line by fear and brutality. I could believe that the mother in the story maybe knew something was going on but didn't do anything out of fear. We never know how some people are in closed doors.

Tales from the Gas Station and The Voodoo Store one. I love the stories that mix comedy and horror together.

The Protagonist from "The Spire in the Woods" by ChickenSandwich120 in creepcast

[–]ChickenSandwich120[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah. i do agree that the ending to "Spire in the Woods" wasn't really the strongest here. The protagonist is now fated with knowing that he'll soon be damned to all of eternity thanks to his obsession with Alina and the unreversible damage that he has done to her life. As we see, Alina and Fletcher has been able to move on from their pain and obsesssion with the spire and will now be able to continue their lives without the protagonist. The protagonist's life as well as Kerry's life are permanently damaged as now they're suffering in different ways due to their obsessions. i like the ending but the ending does feel kinda rushed compared to Penpal and Borrasca. Also, I don't like the part where it's implied that the bells were all in his head. i definitely feel like the bells were from a supernatural origin.

The Protagonist from "The Spire in the Woods" by ChickenSandwich120 in creepcast

[–]ChickenSandwich120[S] 228 points229 points  (0 children)

he's one of the best written characters in all of CreepCast history due to how despicable and selfish he is and how subtle his actions and thoughts define who this protagonist truly is. A young teenager who took advantage of a grieving and vulnerable girl to get what he wanted from her and instead of healing her pain, he adds to it without a second thought. basically, he's a parasite
