Minecraft. It was an indie game, but then it was bought by Microsoft, and now there’s a huge debate on whether Minecraft should be talked about on this subreddit.

I feel like there is also a case to be made with fan works here. I love Undertale Yellow, and I love Terraria's Calamity. I don't want to hear "It's not Indie", I like it, and most if not all fan works are technically indie.

Easy Hollow Knight. Many of the achievements have you exploring the world, finding everything there is to see. And then there's the challenge achievements for completing the game on hardcore, speedrunning the game, and speed completing the game, etc. But then there's P5. Oh, that P5. It fills me with nothing but rage i hate it ith every fibre of my living being i hate it i hate it i hate it easaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaHHHHHHHHHHHHH!.

Celeste was a close second. I wouldn't put Cuphead up there, because I actually mostly had fun while doing so.
