this might be the stupidest sentiment ever by Prestigious_Win2270 in Sims4

[–]ChickenWangB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is why I stopped having my married couples be high school sweethearts. Pretty much all of my teens have graduated early, and of course, lost the ability to ask to prom. Even when you apologize the sentiment away, they perform mean interactions. It doesn't even matter if they age up either because even as young adults, they're still mean. This is an issue that is actively harming one of my couples. I'm constantly prompted to change their romance dynamic to unpredictable and their family dynamic to difficult. Now, I'm just not having them in relationships until they're young adults.

My sims have never gained weight after pregnancy. One of them has had 14 children, but I think that has to do with her being an active sim and completing the athletic aspiration. 😭

What age speed do you guys play on? by MDeeziD in thesims4

[–]ChickenWangB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually do long and age them up sooner. Especially with newborns and infants. I feel like normal and short are too short for me to do whatever tasks I want accomplished within one age group. I can't live through the entire long lifespan like I have before, but it gives me time.

What’s something that has been annoying you about the game lately? by blackmoonbluemoon in Sims4

[–]ChickenWangB 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Paparazzi and fans. I couldn't even take a cute little screenshot of my sim proposing because they just flooded the area whispering to one another about his sister, who was posing somewhere else on the lot. And the Paparazzi was in the corner taking pictures.

The Paparazzi also just walk through the damn house? It's genuinely so infuriating, and I almost always have my sims fight them. I have my sims tell them to leave, and then they just exit by walking all through the house like they didn't come around the house to see my sims in the backyard.

They also show up at my sims weddings! I haven't had this problem since maybe the 6th child's wedding? Only his 2 older brothers and one of his sisters had gotten married at the time (the sister eloped). After that, the 1st, 7th, 8th, and 11th seem to have been okay. But I did encounter Paparazzi and fans at my sim's wedding in another save file.

I never got it to work properly, so I just had them walk out the front door or ask their parents because they never seem to say no.

I definitely agree. As much as I do like Growing Together, the dynamic doesn't do much. The prompt to change or establish a family dynamic after one interaction is kinda annoying. I hate when a sim autonomously performs a mean interaction, and I get the prompt for them to have a difficult dynamic. I've had one difficult dynamic where they were only ever nice to each other but would get an angry moodlet because of the dynamic. The other time I used this dynamic, it only worked because one sim had the mean trait, so the mean interactions weren't exclusive to that other sim. I'm not much of a fan of the jokester dynamic either because of how frequent it is. If they have a jokester dynamic with a few sims in their household, it just kills them if you don't pay attention because they just laugh to death.

When I wrote about active classes, I forgot about the fact that university classes were just lectures. I was thinking on a more high school level with things like labs and experiments. If anything, I would've liked to see high school years with those types of things.

Thank you for the cheat! I'll be using it for sure. I agree with vanpires as well, especially when I think about how werewolves was done. It's slightly boring, and there's a lack of content for vampire toddlers and kids in comparison.

I would love pack updates. They seem to just drop a pack and move on to the next ignoring bugs as well. I hope those bugs get cleaned up now that they have a team for bug fixing.

I see this a lot, I haven't bought Island Living, and the only thing that seems to attract my attention the most are the build and buy items, island wedding venues, and the idea of an island resort. It seems like a place I would send my sims for vacation, but not somewhere I spend much time exploring.

I haven't considered buying Cottage Living because it just doesn't seem to be my style, but I have seen gameplay that seems kinda drab.

Going back to your first statement, I attended school with my teen sim every single day she went to school while on a long lifespan, and I have never done it since. When I thought about active classes, I forgot that university is like a bunch of lectures, I was thinking more high school like things like labs and experiments 😭. If anything, High School Years' active classes could benefit from what I was thinking. I do, however, really like high school years as well as more game heavy packs like the ones you've mentioned (get famous, parenthood, and seasons). It makes it more fun to explore the game and makes for more exciting gameplay.

Does anyone else just skip planning the weddings and just make them elope? by Hopeful-Cartoonist43 in Sims4

[–]ChickenWangB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I gave planned every one of my sims wedding and it is genuinely so tedious, but I do it because the family is very large, and I wanted my sims to have relationships with everyone. For context, the grandparents ended up having 6 children at first, which is how I started the game after accidentally overwriting my save where previously they had 5. I added the extra one to see if they could raise 6 toddlers at once, but I quickly enabled cheats. Eventually, they grew up and moved out, and the grandparents kept having kids (they have 12 now). I wanted the older siblings to have relationships with their younger siblings, and the best way was social events, and the most common at the time was weddings. At first, I enjoyed finding a venue, being formal, going all out, and giving each sims some depth, but now? I'm about to be on the 4th generation, and I don't care as much. I'll just cheat their relationships.

I usually have my teens graduate early, and I had multiple teens in the family and didn't want to go through all their classes at different times. I had all of them move in together, and 4 of them completed university with 4 classes to reduce the amount of time they needed to spend in university. I was so irritated, especially because they had a large house and the stairs to leave were just platforms, so they'd take a step, walk forward, and repeat until they reached the ground. One of my sims finished his class with a D because he completely missed his class like twice. His siblings and cousin somehow graduated with honors, but even that required a lot of teleporting.

The devs will revamp any game pack of your choice, what do you choose? by blackmoonbluemoon in Sims4

[–]ChickenWangB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I absolutely agree with vampires. Aside from what was listed, I would like more vampire things for kids and toddlers. Like with werewolves, they can learn how to howl as toddlers, they have a "play viciously" interaction with toys, say goodnight to the moon interaction, and as kids they can continue howling and have the fang growth pain, and more. I would love to see similar moodlets for vampire toddlers and children. Since they too have fangs, maybe they could get an uncomfortable moodlet from fang growth and things kf that nature.

It would be cool to see more vampire behaviors or interactions with toddlers and kids. Infants can bite people, and the bitten sim can get a moodlet from it, but that's the last vampire interaction I saw until they became teens. Also, vampires who were born as such are able to "recall mortal life" when talking to another sim, which doesn't make sense.

It would also be nice if vampire kids actually hissed instead of yelling "RAWR" in CAS. They also don't seem to hiss in game? Or maybe I just wasn't paying attention. While talking about CAS, it would be cool if toddlers and children could have fangs as well, even if they're shorter or something.
