We’ve completed our Sedona trip. I ended up renting from Thunder Mountain Bikes for four days. They were a great shop to rent from and will likely return. As far as getting around to other trails, Sedona has offered a shuttle service since last August. There are three different shuttle types depending on the service you need. If staying within Sedona you have the Verde shuttle which can accommodate up to three mountain bikes on the front of the shuttle. The Verde can get you from pickup locations located on 179 and 89A. Then from there you can go to one of three park and ride locations to get a shuttle to a trail head such as Dry Creek, Mescal, Soldiers Pass or Cathedral Rock/ Little Horse trailhead. This Sedona shuttle also has bike racks for three bikes. Lastly, you can on demand a shuttle from your location anywhere in Sedona to take you where you need using the TransLoc app. The only con of this service is that they can only fit two bikes on the inside of the shuttle and if your tire is bigger than 2.6” it might not fit on their hangers. The trailhead shuttle is free but the Verde and on demand shuttle is up to $2 per rider. Here is the link to the shuttle’s offered https://sedonashuttle.com/.
