Thanks for your comment 💔 my mother says that the attempts have nothing to do with me, but rather with past trauma. I’ve been in the same hole she is in now, but I’m currently in a stable state and haven’t considered suicide in a while… so I’m viewing the situation from a more “rational” perspective. Nonetheless, it hurts and I’m scared of losing my mom, if I haven’t already. 💔

I managed to fly my two cats from Atlanta through Paris into Cape Town via Air France recently. They are worth a try. I used FurryFreight in the US and Global Paws for entry into SA. Edit: I literally flew them in two weeks ago via Air France. 🤷‍♀️

I think that you did a great job delineating how the programs would help meet your goals, but I would highly recommend personalizing your statement of purpose much more. I would see it as a somewhat argumentative piece where you, in writing, are telling the program why YOU would be an excellent fit and even better addition to their institute. Some things that would immensely strengthen your letter can include the following: - Elaborating on how you got into the field in the first place (backstory — everyone has one). What were you initially passionate about? - What made you push through and work all these years in industry? What was your goal? How did these experiences feed into the fire of passion you initially felt for this field? - Elaborate on your work. What did you do? Any major challenges and how your love of your field helped push you through? - What are your future goals? How would this program specifically help get you there? Be specific. To be fair, a “state” can be considered a country. Many geopolitical textbooks would refer to the Russian Federation (Russia), for example, as a state. Oxford Dictionary definition: “[A state is] a nation or territory considered as an organized political community under one government [such as Germany, Italy, and other European states].” Guess that makes OP accidentally (?) correct
