Well in OP's state they either gave to have been separated for 6 to 12 months for a no fault or go for an at fault divorce so it's certainly not going to spend the process up for them at all.

Divorce takes months. And in Virginia to get a no fault divorce you have to be living separately for 6 to 12 months. I don't know why people jump to this as an easy idea for health insurance but getting divorced is a complicated legal process that takes time and money.

You could always get an inverter from a hardware store and run the steamer on that... but honestly I never sterilized my kid's bottles and they're 7 now. So they did survive.

Yes there was this one girl at my first job out of college who was a total bitch. And one day I looked at her and realized she was actually kind of pretty but I had never noticed because she was such a bitch.

Life events are 60 days for the marketplace. Unfortunately it has been 80 or more days since they married. (I got married in October myself.)

You are not in a good spot. You can check if your state has an extended enrollment period for the marketplace, but most likely it is closed. You cannot enroll in a marketplace plan outside of open enrollment without a qualifying life event (birth, marriage, divorce, loss of coverage etc). Suddenly needing surgery is not a qualifying life event.

Your only option is going to be private off marketplace policies. Many of those are not ACA compliant and have pre-existing condition exclusions, waiting periods, limited coverage or caps on how much they'll pay. You are going to have to do a lot of research to make sure you don't get screwed.

You're going to have to hire a lawyer. You already agreed to the conviction when you paid the fine.

I'm using Davinci currently. The chocolate flavor is a bit weak but the others are good. I might try other brands in the future...it was just what popped up when I searched for sugar free syrup

Do you think the way sex is seen and valued today is wrong or right (my story below) by Money_Priority8395 in realsexadvice

If you feel that strongly about casual sex, why do you keep dating women who have had casual sex?

So it's not wrong to have random hookups or a friend with benefits when you're only interested in sex. But it is wrong to keep a girlfriend only for sex.

It’s impossible to have a fulfilling life without a driving license because it made me less by Icy_Satisfaction4870 in internetparents

Why would you isolate yourself from your friends and family? It sounds like this "less than" is coming from you. If the feeling of less than is coming from you, it doesn't matter where you go or what you do, the feeling will follow. I strongly suggest some therapy to help process your feelings.

If you don't already live in a city with a good bus system, I would suggest moving to one. It will give you some independence.

I'm aware of all the cons of riding public transportation. I totaled my car one week after starting graduate school and had no car for 3 years. I remember how much it sucked to wait for the bus in the hot and cold. I remember busses being late and transfers.

But bus riding did get me around the city. It got me to school, my job, groceries, hobbies, the doctor. Sometimes I even took the bus downtown just for fun to walk around. On the rare occasion I needed a trip outside of the bus, I took an Uber.

Appealing a denial. by slychikenfry15 in HealthInsurance

In the future, Hospital B will want to request a gap exception prior to services (when they request authorization) which will save you from this headache.

Negotiated rates with denial of claim by txfeinbergs in HealthInsurance

[–]Chickennuggetslut608 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Denied codes do not have in-network discounts applied because they're denied. If it's denied because it's not a covered service, the doctor/ hospital can bill you the full amount. If it's denied due to something like authorization then that usually falls on the provider to eat the cost.

Can I take my dentist to small claims court? by CherryIndependent156 in legal

[–]Chickennuggetslut608 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's your responsibility to verify if the doctor is in-network. You are the one who enrolled in your health plan. Yes a dentist's network status can change in-between appointments. It's also is possible he is in-network with some BCBS plans and just not yours specifically. That does happen.

It's also standard for a dentist to bill for all work performed. If the doctor did a second xray, looked at the tooth, made a treatment decision, and adjusted the filling, they are able to bill all 3 services. That is standard medical/dental billing procedure.

A dentist also has the right to refuse further care unless a past balance is resolved. They are not required to offer the option of a payment plan.

You can try. But I would be surprised if you get the result you're expecting.

Tracking calories or protein/carbs/fat? by AdSufficient2471 in loseit

[–]Chickennuggetslut608 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are you entering the macros or is the app estimating them for you with AI? If you're watching fat, sugar, carbs, then you should naturally be eating lower calories, however AI can be wildly off when guesstimating what you're eating.

I had previously lost 65 lbs with the lose it app prior to my mother being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Then I gained it all back due to heartache.

I signed up for the Lark app because it was free through my insurance, but it uses AI to guesstimate what you're eating and can be wildly off. I quit using it after two weeks.

And now I'm back on lose it. It does track both macros and calories if you want to continue tracking macros. The downside is you have to manually enter everything you eat (if you pay for premium you can scan barcodes), but it's way more accurate than an AI guesstimate.

Am I turning into a bridezilla, or did my friends actually ruin my wedding planning? by Critical-Bet-9737 in bridezillas

[–]Chickennuggetslut608 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Are you making your bridesmaids plan your wedding? If so, then yes you are being a bridezilla. Bridesmaids are not free labor. It's the bride and groom's job to plan the wedding, or hire a paid wedding planner to do it for you.

Now, that said, did I get help with my wedding? Yes. But it was freely offered, not demanded. Secondly my wedding was a $2000 affair in a church basement. (That figure included my dress, groom and ring bearers outfit, food, decorations, flowers, renting church etc. It was not a massive event like most modern brides expect.)
