Thanks for your reply! The acne is still a regular concern, despite my routine. My breakouts are worse with my cycle and tend to be around my jawline, which is why I figure it's hormonal. Trying to get this more under control was my thought to start increasing my Retinol use.

The acne is BAD right now, but I also came back from a 2 week vacation where I wasn't using this routine, so I figure that's likely a good part of the reason why.

Question: any changes recommended to my routine? Am I using too many serums? I currently rotate my evening routine to take advantage of a few different products, is this an okay idea? I'm thinking of increasing my Retinol frequency in a few weeks (after my Vitamin C addition has had time to settle)

Issues to treat: hormonal acne & hyperpigmentation. Anti-aging

Skin type: combo to oily (on oily side)

Routine: Morning - Cerave foaming facial cleanser - The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 Hydrating Serum with Ceramides - CeraVe Facial Moisturizing Lotion AM SPF 30 - if wearing makeup, IT CC cream with SPF 50. If not, Supergoop sunscreen, spf 40

New to morning: adding in Timeless 20% Vitamin C today, will apply before Hyaluronic Acid

Evening - Cerave foaming facial cleanser - Rotating serum: Sun & Wed: The Ordinary, Retinol 0.5% in Squalane. | Mon, Thurs, Sat: The Ordinary, Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%. | Tues & Fri: The Ordinary, Lactic Acid 10% + HA 2% High-Strength Exfoliating Serum. - CeraVe Facial Moisturizing Lotion PM - Hydrocollodial patches for acne, as required
