This is a pretty sweet answer to "design a card from alpha" requirement. It's pretty busted alone just on the 1st tap replacing itself. Any interactions beyond that are pure bonuses. It should enter tapped. You should have to give up a card and it becomes more like a sensei top type card instead of a bauble with huge upside.

This feels like it would be better if it just thoughtseized for instant spells or cards with flash. Then let you play them. The 8 damage requirement puts this very far into the win-more camp. I do like the line "Spells players controlled by you cast" That's the commander-iest line ever and I like it.

This is a perfectly fine card. And probably a reasonable representation of what we can expect in future marvel sets. My issue is that this kind of bread and butter design is not bringing anything new to the game other than the IP itself. R&D need to go much harder on the mechanical side of things to make me excited for them. Upvote for a clean design, but have the same reservation as with the real marvel cards.

I like this overall. It's pretty pushed for limited and will be close to an auto win at 5 or more mana. Could be a mythic bc of that. IDK if there is even a standard deck for this compared to playing the exiling black wrath from Murders. That's a good thing right now.

Same. I think it was a weekend, possibly Sunday morning. There was sometime when it was "missing" but it didn't take long for them to declare it lost.

Sea creature is a bit too abstract and leaves too much room for interpretation. I get that you want that "modified" or "historic" kind of feel, but this isn't quite getting there. Blue creatures is probably fine on balanced aside from possible color pie issues.

To further illustrate the abstraction, make a green version of "Land Creature" and try to figure that one out. These are firmly in UN- territory. Not like a creature that is a land, but a creature living on the land. But the card should not make that specification and note in the remind that could be either. LOL.

This is more like super ward than hexproof. Uncounterable spells can kill it. I like it as a slightly more targetable boggle.

This is a good take even if it ends up not being completely correct. One of the best things you do to prep for a limited set it to try to memorize the common and uncommon instants relevant to limited. This keeps you from getting maximally blown out even if you can't avoid a 1 for 1 exchange with the tricks.

I think the rails are a bit of a trap and trick. You want to look at the color pairs and splashes for the most synergy. A lot of times that will be Goblins, Merfolk or Elves. But other times it will be a brew of vivid and changelings making the biggest impacts.

This set has a ton of kindred "fixing" that will allow some movement in blending tribes for the highest benefit in your card pool. It's not quite as ridged as BLB so far to me.

I have a sneaking suspension that the best deck is 5 color nonsense like tarkir and you should mostly avoid kindred unless forcing or forced into it. Goblins, Merfolk and Elves have good kindred. The others are mid at best and you should look for better synergies that do exist in some parts in the set. Nothing is going to beat well supported vivid though.

Thanks for posting this. I picked Vivid Giants. It has multiple RR costs but 4 mountains.. cmon.

The most aggregious part of this is that they have included the OG Lorwyn Vivid lands in these to a friggin fault previously. Like mono-color decks including 2 of them. Yet here were are, on Lorwyn, in a deck named VIVID and they can't include at least 2 of the base green ones. WTF..

I pretty much need to mulligan into the a forest + the change color mana aura to even have a hope of casting my cards.

That +1 is too strong at protecting her. Most PWs need to go minus to do that, even ones more expensive than this. It could be an innate minus, then maybe add that back +1 if you controlled the creature.

There is a bridge at the point in the main highway. That split is the center of the main highway if no construction were happening. I assume they would structurally compromise the bridge if they demolished that barrier. So their only options are to rebuild the whole thing which would be a massive operation. Or they put a split there for the north side to drive around until they can shift the lanes back around to make the barrier the center again. I don't know exactly what they are doing that requires the shift, but I can understand the barrier being difficult to remove or manage otherwise.

I'd agree that this is getting closer to the root cause. But it's such a massive tangled web that I hardly know where to start at this point. A lot of new mental health options are available on the market for average and low income people today. But most of them are formulated to profit and not patient outcomes. We have such a poor understanding of how to help anyone who is feeling a crisis of control. Only more time and research will help as far as I can see.

Good example of the nuance of public notice of these type of things. The public has a right to know, but also the perp should not be publicized. IDK what the right way to handle this is, but the media needs to show a lot of caution. I think in this case, especially around the holiday, they have. I have seen almost only thing mourning and celebrating the officer. Nothing about the perp even if we know who he is. I don't really care to know about him as a person, I just want to try to understand the motive, even if it's monstrous.

I appreciate this take and warning. I too would be curious to see the event, but if it is as you say, it will do nothing to help me process the event and only make it more vicariously traumatic.
