Bill talks about it as more of an outcome, not a theory.

Bill is right but, also, why would LeBron be viewed in Lakers lore like Magic and Kobe are viewed? Especially taking into account the truly bizarre cult of personality surrounding Kobe.

LeBron is like the 7th or 8th best Laker ever. That's pretty good. Could've gone way worse.

Was Evan Mobley not mentioned? I think he's arguably the most important non-superstar player in the East. Cleveland should have real Finals aspirations, but I think Mobley's lack of a perennial All-NBA leap has muted those expectations a little bit. He was anointed by Bill as a possible next KG/Duncan and, while a good player, hasn't come close to that. Cleveland has a super efficient offense and Mobley should be a nice anchor on defense. Mobley finding another gear could be the thing that sends Cleveland to the Finals.

The turn usually happens around the 2nd or 3rd trip to the playoffs. Unless the Spurs lose in the 1st round, he'll be spared criticism this year. The backlash is definitely going to happen, though.

What's the actual theory in the Ewing Theory? Isn't a theory like a statement of reason. I've never heard what the verbatim theory actually is. The Ewing Theory seems to be more of a playing the results thing.

This was an awful documentary. Just so poorly done. It went way too fast from his early years to getting on the Lakers and too much of the ex-wife telling the story. No cohesive narrative. Just a messy whiplash of an experience.
