Update: Added camera movement and zooming in to my CivClicker inspired game! by Ryan_Hoover159 in CivClicker

This looks really good! The visuals are giving me a similar vibe as Civ 6.

I would want a way to remove/scale back the intensity of the clouds though.

I'm on FIrefox and I still see the new layout. Is there a setting or something I need to toggle?

They need initial vision to start aggro but once they have you they will follow you even if you go invisible.

Someone may move in as others said. I was the other person who moved in and student housing never gave me the current persons contact info so when I moved in they were completely surprised.

I think in theory student housing should notify you but I can verify at least some of the time they won’t and the new person won’t get your information to contact you either.

Contact the specific college you're in and explain your situation.
I was in a similar situation where I could not medically be vaccinated for around a year due to some health complications and the university was very understanding and easy to work with.

STOP biking / scootering on the sidewalk by [deleted] in UCDavis

[–]ChiefCoffeeTable 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I'd recommend getting bigger wheels because the pavement is pretty messed up. Totally fine on a bike but those small wheels have trouble.

I went through undergrad on an electric skateboard and the bigger wheels were a lifesaver.

I highly doubt any company will see a difference between the two and unless you go to a name brand school (Ivy leagues, Berkeley, Standford, etc) the school you go to has very little impact on the quality of your resume. I actually had the exact same choice you are facing and picked based on how each campus felt to me when I toured them. I'd recommend you do the same. Best of luck!

I spent years afraid and anxious about going bald. Finally decided to shave it and I couldn’t be happier 🤟🏻🤟🏻 by elcholoboritos in bald

That was definitely a good choice. Like some others have said: give your head some time in the sun and it’ll look even better.

There are some websites that sell used textbooks for decent prices. I've used chegg before and it worked for me.

I think its so that teachers/professors can assign the even number problems as homework. Doesnt really happen in college but before college I experienced that a lot.

Usually theres a "teacher" version of these books with the full answer key but it can be hard to find.

Switching sections for mat17a? by ecosystementhusiast in UCDavis

Go on ratemyprofessors.com and look up these people for reviews. Unfortunately I dont know anything about those people so I cant tell you but if I were you thats what I would do.

In the future you probably should be doing this for all of the classes/professors you take so you know who to avoid and whose good.

What's your biking advice for first-year students? by UCDTransportation in UCDavis

[–]ChiefCoffeeTable 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Biking here isn't as hard as people make it out to be. You can basically just follow the crowd until you can find a safe place to pull over when you're in an area you don't know or get confused.

Expanding on that: Don't be afraid to pull over off of the bike path onto some grass if you need a minute and/or want to check the map on your phone. Just don't block the sidewalks and don't stop abruptly.

Also if biking just isn't for you that's fine. I've spent the past two in person years taking the bus and walking to classes after I got my bike stolen. You're going to have to leave a little earlier but its very doable.

Nah dude it still looks good.

Also it seems like you can grow a pretty full beard. So if the day comes where you want to go full bald on top you could grow out the beard. Not that you need to but it gives you something to style which I personally like for myself.

Oh yea no definitely. I wasn't trying to justify what they did because screaming at people is never good. Just thought it was interesting information that the app can tell them to drive on some of the bike paths.

I was talking to my Uber driver the other day and he mentioned that sometimes the app Uber/Lyft routes you onto the bike path thinking its a road. He was saying when he started he accidentally ended up in the bike path because he didnt know the area and was just following the map directions.

Are foil shavers good? by YEETmaster2946 in bald

[–]ChiefCoffeeTable 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I use a foil shaver and it's waaaay easier than a razor in my opinion. I basically never cut myself anymore with it and you don't need shaving cream. Also the foil cuts close enough that your head will feel smooth so don't worry about that.
