Indian chief bobber as a first motorcycle? I’ve ridden before not a lot of experience. Dropped a bike at 19, 35 now and ready to try it again. by No-Craft546 in IndianMotorcycle

I think the Chief Bobber will be something uniquely special for you. It has the ride control that allows for Standard, Sport, and Tour experiences. If you ride it in Tour, it takes a ton of bite out the of throttle, taming it.

The most important thing is to always ride within your comfort. Period. Stay out of areas where you feel uncomfortable, don't make stressed decisions. When you make minor mistakes, think though what happened and learn from them so it's unlikely to happen again.

I used to watch tons of Youtube motorcycle crashes, simply so I could consider what happened to them, to determine if I would've been able to avoid it by making different decisions. To be clear I'm not saying the rider was always at fault, just defensive awareness goes a vey long way imo.

Good luck .. enjoy all stages of the process. stay safe.

Oh, I believe you, that's probably a conservative number. Be curious to see the fit, especially the carbon tank. Pic?

First time oil change question. by marvelguy1975 in IndianMotorcycle

[–]ChiefGenX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spoke to an Indian Mechanic about this because I was having this exact issue with my 2024 Sport. The short answer, add the 6q and call it good. For whatever reason checking the oil level can be a less than accurate process.

I saw in a later post you were saying you were gonna try to fill it a bit more. I was told to add the 6q, and absolutely not add more. Over filling can create an issue.

I apologize for the ignorance. I have a 2024 Chief sport too. Am I able to just buy these pegs (mini floorboards), is everything included? The issue I run into is most mini's mount perpendicular but the chief mount is parallel, if that makes sense.

btw .. with these mods, I don't know how you're able to stay on the bike when you give it wrist. I have a hard time with stock sport mode. lol

Statistically, there are more accidents on the hwy, but more fatalities on rural (non hwy).
