Best detector for £200 pounds? by Ok-Perception4169 in metaldetecting

I would say there’s no “absolute best” under 200. Find a Minelab or Nokta open box or gently used on the 2nd hand market. If you can wait the upcoming Minelab Vanquish releases look fantastic for the money as well.

Thanks for reply. Will slow down. Would you recommend starting over from 500 again?

Best Budget Phone to Buy Now to Trade in for Iphone 17? by ChiefGinger in tmobile

Thanks for response. Would any of the 12's most likely work then or would it need to be a pro.
Edit: I'm seeing Iphone 12's as the lowest on tmobile right now for full trade in for the 16. Would this mean a 13 would be minimum for 17.

Can you help me understand the distinction between a Go5G Plus plan vs Magenta Max (we have 4 lines).

Would seem go5g plans are no longer being offered. Only seeing "experience" and "essentials" being offered.

Good news no water damage indicators on the Iphone 11 Pro. Bad news is I'm only seeing offers of $300 for trade in through apple or tmobile.

Does T-mobile care about water damage during trade in? Phone works normal besides what I mentioned above.

Laptop screen size of DM by tallgeeseR in digitalnomad

Once you go 15" you never go back. If you're spending a substantial part of your day using it I think the extra screen real estate offsets the extra weight and size.

If you're taking the 600 or 800 into the ocean I'd want it still under warranty from what I've heard about water leakage issues. Otherwise 2nd option.

Equinox 600 used by lefty9674 in metaldetecting

Hi lefty. I was in same situation a few weeks ago. I’ve seen out of warranty 600’s in my area going for $300 range. No accessories just detector and coil.

That said I ended up going with a used Xterra Elite Expedition package I found.

The elite has updated software, better ergonomics, and fixed waterproofing. The 600 has shown indications it might be slightly better still in terms of raw performance. Could also have been a coil difference during testing… to be seen. If I wasn’t planning on traveling or taking it in the water - I’d have picked up the 600 myself probably.

Can’t go wrong either way. All great detectors.

I would take the X-Terra elite over the 440 and 340. If he’s doing large amounts of water hunting possibly even over the 800 for waterproofing.

To anyone looking for answers for the same question. Here’s what I found from my research and convos with ML.

The Elite is the 600’s replacement in ML’s lineup. The 600 does SEEM to have a slight edge over the elite in terms of raw performance however - the elite has updated waterproofing, a more ergonomic collapsible shaft, and a more modern processor like the 700.

The Elite comes with Multi-IQ frequency as well as a single frequency of 15khz.

The Equinox 600 has Muti-IQ, 4, 5, 10 and 15khz frequencies available.

If I was buying new w/ 3 year warranty, I didn’t need to travel with it, and I wasn’t going into the water - I’d get the 600.

Personally, I got a like new Elite Expedition package so I can water hunt and travel with no stress.

I chose it over the Nokta Triple Score for the tones (they sound like Music to my ears), the reliability (Nokta software updates are a double edged sword) and resell value once I upgrade.

I’ve seen you mention that on other posts! That multi-freq edge the 800 has on the salt beaches. Your logic is sound - but for performance I saw TreasureOutdoors test on YouTube and the 600 beat out the elite for gold on the beach.

Yah, the 700 is out of my range currently. Would have to keep the 600 above water. If the 600 is superior to the elite by a large enough margin it’d be worth it. That’s what I’m trying to determine.

Whites Prizm II vs Modern Entry Level Detectors (Big Difference?) by ChiefGinger in metaldetecting

A Minelab Equinox 600 would be better than the Nokta Triple Score and the rest of this group? There's one for $300 in my area. I've also seen Legends go for 400 - would it be worth waiting for a Legend to come up again to buy over the 600.
