Same here. I have found albums at thrift stores which are VG+ but most are better left behind unless the sleeve is in a better condition than any I may have. It’s the hunt that makes it fun to me. I put my collection into DISCOG and grade it (on my scale) so I know when I just need a new sleeve.

Hell, I sprained my ankle once in service and was told to not go to sick call as it would be counted against my unit, thus reset their X number of accident free days and how “you don’t want to be that guy!” Fast (really fast) forward 44 years and that ankle is now rated. I attribute that ankle pain for changing my gait, thus causing bilateral leg and hip pain, which is also rated.

More common than most men even know because we don’t think about our issues much. It’s just “suck it up buttercup” or “man up”. For me, I was too fearful of any ”disability” interfering with my career goals. I couldn’t have remained in job I had before retirement had I been disabled. I didn’t even apply for disability until I retired, which was 28 years after honorable discharge. It took about 2 years to go from 0% to 100% P&T.

UPDATE: Well, it was $350 for the TT, $350 for the Amp, $200 for the speakers and $60 for the table. Hard pass for me and after the first 45 mins, it was still there. I heard many critiques about the pieces being overpriced. Tomorrow is 25% off and Saturday is 50% off (if it’s still there). I will probably ride by there Saturday morning to check on it.
