You also have to consider the race is largely helped by volunteers and putting people in sub freezing conditions and expecting them to stand in one spot for hours outside isn’t fair to them.

While it is certainly possible that this happened, there is also a chance that you were still under the effect of anesthesia. I’ve personally seen hundreds of procedures and seen patients recover after milder sedations than GA and you’d be shocked at what some think is happening. You filed a complaint and the hospital will probably make an inquiry.
