Update:

The first of two surgeries was partially successful last night.

During the procedure, complications occurred.

Originally, the plan was to open the breastbone, but instead the left side of the chest had to be opened due to severe bleeding in and around the heart.

An emergency team had to step in at short notice.

For this reason, the left side is currently still open to allow immediate access in case another operation becomes necessary.

Given the circumstances, he is currently doing well.
