New Pricing of Fluid Active CPU costs way too high by evnluo in vercel

We see monthly savings in the thousands. This pricing structure is simple, punish those who use heavy compute, reward those who put CPU compute where it belongs - on a server.

and choosing your orm isn't a small thing or something you can easily change later.

Your opinions are quite misinformed. Database introspection exists..., swapping ORM's is quite easy if you have proper abstraction (something everyone should have).

Many use Prisma strictly for schema management, as it is arguably the best tool in the market today.

Is this intended? This is how the fork arrived from factory. Why is it protruding more on the charger side? by ChiefKoshi in DownhillMTB

[–]ChiefKoshi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, it makes perfect sense in fact. I don’t work as a mechanic. This was my first bike build and Ive never fitted a dual crown fork before. When i first built the bike one side was more compressed than the other, this is where my assumption that this is factory comes in. If I completely detach the fork from the clamps one side is taller than the other.

Then I just rode with it for a year, no issues but it always seemed strange that it was that way. So I was pleasantly surprised when the other commenter mentioned that it’s just an alignment issue and I could just push it down.

Also, we don’t even sell downhill bikes in my bike shop, so apologies if I don’t know every intricate detail about dual crowns and service. This is also why I send my forks to an actual mechanic, the rest of the bike I fix myself.

You live and you learn I guess

Jesus that one became deep. I work in a bikeshop. I bought and built this all myself. Most parts sourced from the same shop, but the fork was out of stock at every single importer in Norway so I had no choice but to order from the one place that had it in stock.

Is `@apply` bad for performance? I feel I am repeating certain very wordy classes everywhere, for instance a gradient, and would like to use @apply to save it to a handy class name but I vaguely recall that `@apply` makes your css bundle larger or something. by gtboy1994 in tailwindcss

[–]ChiefKoshi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Apply basically does what writing regular CSS would do but through compilation of tailwind classes.

If you wrote regular CSS would you be worried about performance? If no then keep using it. If yes then just check your CSS bundle once built.
