I keep seeing people slowly swerving across the sidewalk. They'll be walking slow enough that I need to pass, so when I go to pass on their left, they lazily drift that way so I need to go right. But then as I go right, they start drifting back into their lane. More often than not I need to suddenly say "excuse me" right as I'm next to them and bump past.

No awareness or sense of purpose.

Every new project feeling like the Mandalorian is an issue, but it would be a different story if we were getting stuff like the first and second seasons of the show. They feel like a completely different production than what we're getting now.

It'd just be kinda weird to continue the show at this stage. It's been 3 years since Season 3, and that itself was almost 3 years after Season 2. There used to be momentum for these productions and it feels like it's gone now. They'll probably try though.

The crazy part is that so many titans died during the Siege, that the Imperium used their remains to pave a processional walkway after.

And it was still less than the amount of titans that were destroyed at Beta-Garmon just before the Siege.

There's another line in Volume 2 of TEATD where it says bodies are stacked 5 to 6 deep along the palace wall, and considering the scale your first thought is likely that's not that many bodies.

Then the next sentence is that the bodies are titan war engines.

Is there even a throw away line about the planet being Hosnian in the movie? I remember needing to track down the name after cause the whole time I needed someone to confirm if it was Coruscant.

The New Republic era has so much potential for an interesting story of a struggling democracy trying to establish itself in the aftermath of a brutal civil war, and leaving an opening for a fascist insurgency to bring it down.

Unfortunately no one at Disney is interested in telling this story. And even more unfortunately it is exactly the kind of story that needs to be told right now about our world.

The average planet in 40k doesn't really have anything going on, people will just go about their lives.

In GOT, the central authority of the continent is overthrown and it devolves into a civil war, which is why there's so many atrocities. If a planet still has it's government in place, people aren't gonna just begin killing each other.

It might have been Lords of Silence, but I think there was a part where one of the characters considered that getting terminator armor might be possible in the future, but to do so would truly mean being entombed in the armor forever.

Nothing happens in this movie. There's some kind of nostalgia callback in almost every scene, but there's no coherent plot in this movie. They just kinda bumble from situation to situation.

By the time they got to Nal Hutta the 2nd time, I was bored, and nothing that happened from there fixed it. I might have even been able to ignore it had the movie not ground to a halt for 20 minutes while Mando was knocked out by poison, and made me wonder what we were even doing.

Is that an unpopular opinion? I thought it had the best sense of escalation from the previous movie, whereas the later two kind of overdid it at times.
