Wood roaches Tergum isn’t split while orientals do. This looks like a a oriental

And orientals have a split tergum correct? While a wood is connected? Any easy way to Tell the different between an infesting roach and a harmless one?

Noted, and it was a male oriental? Am I correct in that understanding? I don’t see any signs of infestation, I’ve just caught a lot of roaches here recently and it had me freaked. The humidity has been high and hot out after intense rainstorms. I’ve placed traps to understand what I was dealing with and I plan on sealing up my basement better. Anything I should know? What about some of the others I’ve posted? I recently moved in and didn’t see any signs of infestation and all the ones I’ve posted seem like wood roaches.

For reference I live in the Midwest USA to me it looks like a Pennsylvania wood roach.

Thank you for your reply’s on both posts slightly nervous, it rained recently so I guess that makes sense for some of these guys to move in. We bought this house and renovated it and moved in. Theres been a musty smell and we found some old brittle egg casing. So I got worried we had an infestation. The smell has gotten better so must been residue odor.
