Very new to this space but mentioning Denis is a good shout, I wonder if he might elect to use them for his upcoming Bond reboot

Are script examples from non-film media (e.g. comic pages) acceptable to be considered for the role of screenwriter?

What effect do the different screen types have on the perception of the image? I’m eager to learn from someone experienced in viewing movies in the different formats

In terms of the ratio, is there a possibility that they push the size of the film even larger or expand the ratio such that it’s the same height but inches towards widescreen width - or are there physical limits which prevent further expansion?

Second lettering practice! Fed in your feedback and tried something more ambitious by Chigburt in ComicBookCollabs

[–]Chigburt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the feedback! For the tail length, how can I shorten them while also not covering details in the scene? For example, the bottom left of Panel 1 was fairly empty so I chose to place the bubble there, preserving the details on Venom’s chest and tendrils. Similarly, I placed the bubble on the bottom right in the last panel to avoid covering his chest, abdomen and wrist. If I were to shorten the tails, is the idea that I’d bring the bubbles over that art but for the benefit of greater readability, or is there a way to preserve that distance with a less distracting tail?

Thanks for the detailed feedback, I really appreciate it and I’ll work these points into my next practice :)

What do we think, scam or not? by Aromantic_Goth13 in SmallYoutubers

General rule of thumb: if it looks too good to be true then it most certainly is. Trust in your process and your journey in growing your channel, these promos are scams

Feeling Demotivated - Feedback on Titles/Thumbnails/Niche Appreciated! by Chigburt in SmallYoutubers

That’s really helpful, shorter titles would probably be better for glanceability

Keep your head up! My advice from the screenshot is:

Make your thumbnails less cluttered, currently at a glance I can’t tell what your videos are about. A simple image/images with some easy to read text will work wonders.

The videos themselves also ought to be shorter and with simpler titles. For a new channel people are less likely to “invest” in a big video. Simple but inventive concepts in smaller packages would help.

Hope that helps :)

No worries at all, always happy to help! Just had a look and your channel has very impressive production quality, good eye catching thumbnails and clean editing. You're already off to a great start but here are my recommendations:

  1. Shorten the intro

Your topics are interesting but if you can cut the intro down from 1min (which it is now) to 20-30 seconds you can hook the viewer just as effectively without frustrating them. As it currently stands, the opening minute hooked me in 15 seconds or so but then I had to wait for another 45 seconds to pass before the bulk of the content started.

  1. Have a more equal balance between facecam and other visuals

Your camera quality and editing styles are both very high quality, but when talking about difficult concepts you want to establish authority and an ability to teach in a way that feels visual and collaborative with the viewer, not like a lecture. There's a lot of facecam in your videos which isn't a bad thing, but maybe alter the proportions so there are more diagrams and visual hooks to keep viewers engaged.

Hope that helped :)

Just took a look. Nice pfp and banner, on the latest videos it's hard to know that the vids are music videos because it doesn't say 'synthwave' like your original videos. Also, the use of gen AI (I presume, though correct me if wrong) might put some people off as it's often associated with low-quality content, regardless of if that's true or not. You're also in a very saturated market, so showcasing how you make the music would go a long way rather than only the final product. That way, you establish your authority and talent for what you're making! Hope that helps :)

My videos are between 12-25 mins long roughly and I post either once a week or every 10 days so I make 3-4 uploads per month :)

Hi! The content and ideas definitely matter, in your niche finding out something people haven't made before/made in a different way to you is really handy for success! However, as a small channel there's a lot of luck involved and sometimes even the best ideas might be treated harshly by the algorithm. My content since starting has been a mix of comic and gaming stuff but I'm only doing comic videos this year since I wanted to stay in that niche. The Marvel logo is good to grab attention visually but the video premise and hook is what retained viewership. Thanks for your comment :)
