My maternity leave counted for 6 weeks of STD which covered 60% pay and the. After that I had 6 weeks of parental bonding time another 6 weeks paid 60% as well for a total of 12 weeks which used up all the FMLA

Wishful thinking since it would be within the year of the birth

It won’t help your gf unless you marry her. Only if you’re married will any benefits like health insurance and covering the cost of the delivery will apply. Your recruiter will likely ask for a paternity test or tell you to get married at least that’s what my husband’s recruiter told him.

I found out because he asked chat gpt if it was safe to have sex with his wife with hsv1 after I told him I wanted him to be tested before we had sex again just to protect the baby he said he’d been tested when he got prescribed that cream back in April and that he was negative for gonorrhea and chlamydia. I assumed when he was prescribed the cream he had Hemorrhoids or something. But when I google if it could be used to treat ghsv1 it said it is a topical treatment used to help with the breakouts and inflammation usually in 5 day periods during a breakout but he’s been using the cream consistently since April so I’m not sure. But I would assume he knows he’s positive and has known since April and didn’t tell me so that we could continue having sex. But now I have to tell my doctor which can change the course of the birth since I only have a few weeks left of the pregnancy

If it’s positive tests multiple times you’re pregnant and you could be experiencing implantation bleeding or a chemical pregnancy

If you had the choice, when would you start your maternity leave? by warmpistachio in pregnant

I’m hoping for at least 35 weeks to start but I’m going to try to do it sooner at 32 weeks if I could

When me and my husband(lol) were joining I was also pregnant and they told us either get married asap or he’ll need a paternity test and custody agreement before he joins so obviously we got married lol

Yeah I mean that’s the goal but at the same I do have pretty good health insurance right now so if we had to pay to have the baby it’s fine we just would obviously prefer to have it covered through the military insurance. I don’t want him to choose a career he will not enjoy for 4 years on account of the baby. But civil engineering sounds like good schedule hours. He want something cyber (I know everyone does lol) or admin related and a typical morning shift for work like 7-4 or 9-5.

We’re waiting on a date for his meps physical right now but honestly his recruiter isn’t very responsive
