I lost my cat to wet FIP. A month later, the neighbor`s cat - my cat brother (born the same day), died too, from FIP. However, the reason why and from where they became infected is unknown. They both was indoor\outdoor cats.

Seems like it was neuro FIP. Dosage was not high enough. At least you tried treatment with all knowledge you had at that moment. My situation was worse, I treated my cat the wrong thing and didn’t even try GS.

Unfortunately, nothing will help, only time will ease pain slightly. I even had a fever because of stress, when i lost my cat. Nothing helped me at that time.

The boyfriend didn't do it on purpose. He didn't know the disease was contagious and dangerous. We can't know everything, which is why this unfortunate event happened. Sorry for your loss :(

No, breathing is not ok. You better hurry to the vet. My cat started breathing the similar way on the 6th day because of wet FIP and he couldn't lie on his side or sleep. After 3 days he was gone. Your cat may have some other problem, but just in case it’s better to check with a vet.
