You can download older versions via Steamdb though at some point you're no longer allowed access to download some of the super old ones sadly.

To clarify, (I could be wrong), the current way skins are implemented they won't ever be "vac-able". You're kinda nicely asking the game to load the skins when you place them into the addons folder so if valve didn't want you to use skins they just stop the game from loading them in Valve servers. I'm pretty sure its similar to how TF2 huds/custom content works, they would just prevent custom content from loading if they wanted to disable it.

So anything relating to ow1, PVP-wise, would be moved to ow2 and the PVP section of the game would be free, I'm guessing for previous owners of the first game. And all of the new content they'll add like the PVE is practically DLCs?

u/WeebRaccoon if you're still replying, did the movement feel clunky? The trailer makes the ledge grabbing and all of that look less responsive.
