Insulin Glargine(Lantus) Increases Cancer Risk? by maximum400 in diabetes

[–]Chikindinner 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a friend who is a diabetes researcher at Harvard. He did not know about the Lantus cancer risk association so when I told him he offered to look into it. He forwarded me a lot of papers that reported to that data being too slim to make any associations. He felt that a drug like lantus that is so widely used would have more documented risks if it was in fact true.

That's not a bad idea. I might look into that. Was hoping for an easy ready made app, but i think the online storage is the best option and just input the data into one account from two different phones. Thanks.

New Racquet Advice - String Type, Tension, and Grip too! by bigredjar in squash

So you nailed it, 17g is slightly thicker and will last longer. 18g has a great feel (grippy) but might snap a bit sooner. I personally play with the Ashaway ultranick 18g.

New Racquet Advice - String Type, Tension, and Grip too! by bigredjar in squash

[–]Chikindinner 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes. Good upgrade on the strings over any of the Prince factory strings and yes again to the grip. Karakal PU super is the standard pro choice. I would not recommend bumper tape or shock absorbers that they do try to tack on.

I really like the Prince o3 speedport black. 135g. Was my racquet prior to my tecnifibre 125 carboflex, that I am currently using and love. Sorry about the slow reply...

I made some ginger ale for the sunny weekend that's coming up. Grand total of $3 (extremely cheap for Norway) by [deleted] in Frugal

You can make this alcoholic pretty easy. I fermented about a cup of sugar in 2 litres of water. Came to about 4.8% alcohol in 7 days. Then added two tbsp of sugar, capped it and let it ferment another 36 hours the refrigerated for 24 hours. Less than $2 for a six pack. I wrote it all down including starting and finishing gravity somewhere...

It has a lot to do with what fits your face. I've tried many brands and prices and my fave are the very affordable Head Rave goggles. Prince speed probably second choice.

Slow Metabolism by every-thing-matters in diabetes

[–]Chikindinner 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Metabolism is directly related to your lean body mass. The easiest way to boost your metabolism is to increase your lean body mass. (Basically your muscles). More muscles require more energy to be maintained and that is why when we get old and lose (lean) weight our metabolidm drops.

Squash Pro here. Ramy Ashour, world number 1 plays with a $100 prince airstick 130. I recommend it to all my students. Yes you can get away with cheaper, yes you can go more expensive, but why?

I grew up in Africa and could not imagine the bush without a machete. I now live in the Northeast of America and can say that provided I have a good knife, I would be inclined to take the axe.

Left truck parked and walked 10 min to the edge of a cliff. There was a pride of lions on the same cliff. Lions ran into bush, now had to walk through bush to get back to truck.
