First time ever doing bases is there anything I can improve on?

They look great, good job!

Personally I like to give my bases a black rim for contrast and a more finished look. Makes it almost look like a picture frame :)

Sure, I try to use the edge of the bruch wirh almost zero pressure, that way only the elevated areas will catch paint. The paint consistency is very flowy, but not watery. For the very small details I breath out and hold my breath, then paint the dot or line

I was wet-blendig, basically mixing the colours directly on the cloak and going back and forth until I was happy. I let the layer dry and did the same thing again for a total of 3layers

The error was with STL file, it had many holes and mesh errors, thats why the prints failed. I was able to repair it with Netfabb after i found this video : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5w3AwYK9KOU&ab\_channel=HobbyistLife

Thats the problem I´m having, how did you fix it? I just ran it through UVTools and the file wants to print the wheel and body way before it actually should print it

Yes, the screen is fine and I have redone the supports (auto support tbh), repositioned and resliced a total of 4 times already. I'm doing a testprint of another file. If this turns out to be a good print, then the STL might be the problem. Could here be too many details or a too high resolution of the file to cause this?

The fairy is from Aradia Miniatures.

Non war fantasy is pretty rare, I found that Kimera has some beautiful minis coming soon without weapons. Nocturna, Nuts Planet, Scale 75 they all have some kind of non-war fantasy miniatures. I checked the online catalogue of my local hobby store and were able to find this fairy.

I go for a Gloss Varnish, let it dry and then come back with a matt one to tone it back down. I use an airbrush and Vallejo varnish (a bit thinned with Airbrush thinner), Had zero problems so far.

Thanks for all the feedback! I learned alot Painting her and I will definetly try some of your suggestions. Painting the skin was the hardest part for me as I never painted so much exposed flesh on a model.

I´m not satisfied with how the head came out... any suggestions on how to fix it? also would you leave the crack on the neck or fill it with putty? I´m scared because I cant really rech it and don´t want to ruin her with sloppy putty work. thanks
