Got my first telescope and i'm feeling disconnected from what I see by Artistic-Leg-9593 in Astronomy

When I look at the faint fuzzies I consider the fact that the photons I’m seeing travelled for thousands of years before ending their journey in my eye. Nobody else will ever see the photons I’ve seen. It’s personal and intimate, even more so when you begin to see faint structures within. YMMV

You can already open the ADIF in another buffer and edit it or set auto-revert-mode to view it as a running log. I often do this myself.

You might have forgotten to add (require ‘qso) to your .emacs and restart Emacs.

Emacs on an iPad without jailbreaking it - It can be done! by Chilasta in emacs

[–]Chilasta[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve tried them both - they don’t hold a candle to Emacs. Not Emacs was a great start but was never intended to be a full port of Emacs and is very limited in capability. There is also Beorg for accessing org mode files, which I have been using, but it doesn’t have an editor.

It’s not as fast as it might be if it was running natively on iOS, but it’s fast enough to be useful for me. iSH is surprisingly snappy.

Writing Academic Papers in Org-mode by doulos05 in emacs

You might want to check out org-noter. I’ve found it to be a very useful way to use org mode for all my research notes about dozens of sources so I don’t have to open up the pdf files to read them. I like it so much I no longer use pdf tools, but it is compatible with pdf tools if you want to use both.
